I'm sure this has been brought up before, but I'm going to inquire/start up conversation about it anyway. Does anyone know if there is going to be an Ys 7 super arrange version? Do they normally wait this long after the OST comes out to announce it?
Sigh, I needs me some Ys 7 arranged.

I dunno, I always considered Songs of Zemeth as Napishtim's SAV.
Still, with an OST this damn good, I don't see why Falcom wouldn't try to make an SAV. It'll just take time. I don't know when it was announced, but iirc Origin's SAV came out about a year after the OST.

I would buy an Ys7 SAV. I cannot even begin to imagine which tracks they would do, though. No announcement. But you've gotta remember, Falcom hasn't even made an Ys *VI* SAV yet! So you might have a long wait. There's an Origin one, though! The logic kinda falls flat bearing that in mind.

Ys V Orchestra? It's arranged. It's super. It's a version. It's a SAV for sure! EVERY Ys game so far has had some form of official arrangement, right? Apart from Online and Tragedy etc !!!

There's at least a handful of songs that -really- need an arranged rock version. Desert of Despair comes to mind first, as well as Vacant Interference... but with more than 2 seconds of thought, I could probably come up with a bunch more.
To be completely honest, I feel bad for video game companies that have to put up with customers like me who want more, more, more. I just want to see an Ys 7 SAV come out as well as a remake of Ys 4. Those and I would like new Fire Emblem and Zelda games by the end of the year. And I'd like to see Chapelle come back to comedy central... and I'd like.... mumble mumble.

If the SAV doesn't have The Place Where Souls Return and Hope for the Hopeless, I'll have to bust some freaking heads. Oh, and Legend of the Five Great Dragons.

Yeah Vacant Interfenece! That song is so great, it deserves to be lengthened and perfected. I get what you're saying though, there really are a ton of those synthy tunes that would be amazing done by a band (as they're great already, it'd be hard to screw them up). And yeah, The Place Where Souls Return would be another good candidate. Also Sunbaked Throb, To Reveal the Way to Go, and any of those final boss themes.

I would have liked that song better if it didn't play directly after the typical town music. It feels like too sudden of a change in style (though, I know they shouldn't have done it any other way; the contrast is important to highlight the difference between rich and poor).

Needs moar Falcon Strike, Ancient Disputation, Desert of Despair, and Place Where Souls Return.
EDIT: Also, slightly off-topic, but Wyrd, I assume somebody's already pointed out that on the Ys Seven OST, there's a typo? 'Vitality of the Frand Flame?'

Grand Flame here. Also, I would love to see Great Tree (Shannoa) on a SAV CD. I can imagine hearing it faster with guitars and heavy drums. Isolated Island with the violin is another one I'd like to see.

well the 2010 album acts like a SAV for some tracks like Legend of the Great Five Dragons, Crossing Rage, Mother Earth Altago, and Great Tree.

...Actually, you're the first to point that out. And I just checked my copy of the XSEED Ys Seven OST (which is an officially-purchased copy, not a pre-release or anything), and it very definitely says "Grand Flame," NOT "Frand Flame." I'm very confused as to how a typo like that would sneak its way in and NOT exist on EVERY copy... I'm curious, now, to see if anyone else's copy says this. You may very well have a real collector's edition of the CD there, if it's one of only a handful of misprints (or the ONLY one!). -Tom Just checked the CD track itself. It was apparently just iTunes trolling me, since it's 'Grand Flame' on the OST itself. >.>
