Ruleness! There is a Play N Trade down here I've been to but I can't go regularly as it's too far away. It's nice to see stores that will still sell older games and gaming merchandise. Yep, there are about 3-4 left here in GA. My friend and I will make a pilgrimage to all of them a few times throughout the year. If you ever want to tag along, just let us know. : ) And that's a great deal for the 32X. I hope it came with the short connector AV cable because that is hard to find, even on auctions. I got both my Sega CD in the box and 32X from Play N Trades here in GA. Of course the deal for the Sega CD was that it didn't come with a power supply and there was no guarantee that it would work, and originally it didn't. lol But my friend and I fixed that by soldering a new fuse into the sucker and it worked fine after I blew the fuse out a couple more times trying to find the correct power adapter for it. : ) But yeah, you can definitely score some great things at Play N Trades and the more you put on the table for purchase, the more you can have the flexibility with coming up with your own prices. We do it all the time. -Thomas

yeah came with the cable but don't think it works. Gensis games are ok but on 32X I get to the screen and see the background but not my character. So I hope it's just the cable being faulty as I bought another on eon amazon. I want to play Knuckles Chaotix darnit.

You might also invest in a Sega Genesis cleaning kit to clean the connectors and contacts. If you can't get that, there's always Cottonswaps + Rubbing Alcohol and for the tight connectors, a small terrycloth wrapped around a piece of sturdy cardboard + Rubbing Alcohol might do the trick. Just pour enough to get the surface partially damp. Cleaning the actual game cart the same way can help too of course. I had a devil of a time playing my Blaster Master 2 for Genesis until I gave it the royal cleaning. : )

Not seeing sprites? That is definitely an issue with the conversion cable! Make sure it's in right!

The image is about the game not the monitor with Winnie the Pooh and friends. XD Oh, I suppose the USB hub beneath Taiko is a new purchase too.

Yeah, that's the main reason I got it--it was on sale for like 40% off, at least. Normally $700 but on clearance for $456 since it was the last one in stock, managed to convince my mom to let me get it. The only downside is that it has integrated graphics--but, I can still run most of what I want to play on it, so I don't mind at all. Hell, in a lot of ways it's a lot better than my desktop. It takes 15 seconds to start up, and I already have most of my "junk" on it.

There was an absurd deal for a Lenovo with a Pentium B940 for like $285 at Fry's at some point, wish I had the money to grab that when it popped up a few weeks ago Current laptop's battery is utterly dead and the laptop itself is old enough that I don't really want to pay ~$100 just to replace the battery.

Got a new Cosmo Black 3DS from GameStop yesterday after the price drop to $169.99. They had a deal where if you trade in, even an old first generation DS, you can get at least $40 or more off the price, making the new prices $129.99 and less depending on the model of the DS you are trading in. Also, since they were running a special on trade-ins, For every 3 games that trade in for $2 or more, you get an additional $10 added to your traded in. Then, last but not least, because the membership I have is a paid-for PowerUp Rewards member, you get an extra 10% more on your trade ins. So I traded in an old DS first generation model that my brother no longer uses and about 12 games that I called ahead to get the trade-in prices of, 3+3+3+3 = $40 extra for free, (basically around $25 on average per bundle of 3 games) and ended up picking up the new 3DS for $35 after taxes. And I managed to pickup this neat Zelda Promo a week or so ago for storing all the Zelda games I have in my collection. Big Zelda fan so I was pretty happy to get this. So, yeah if anyone is looking to score a good deal on a 3DS and has access to GameStop, this might be the best time to get one and take advantage of their promotions. -Thomas

SkyeWelse WOW! That sounds like the best way to get a 3DS! I dunno, I liked how I got my 3DS last month. I think I've shared this story before, but it involved me dominating a ticket redemption game at a local arcade. I'd just play it between rounds of dance games (DDR SN2/PIU Pro 2) while I was catching my breath. I could've done better but it ended up costing me about $75 without having to trade in anything. Which reminds me I still have my DSi to sell/trade in...

And now I really want to play it! The music is pure bliss! The next time I order from Falcom I'll get it. Yesterday I was listening to "Stopper" and "Ernst" constantly.
