I'd luv an Ys where you can pick Adol's responses and they affect the gameplay. (I'd luv to see some of those responses to the style of the english outtakes from the DVDs hehe XD)
Still, I would be a happy Kuro to take what I can get. ^^

Thank you! Something is bothering me... With all the girls who chase after Adol through the Ys series... Why isn't there a "Dating Sim" version of Ys yet? Adol Christin, the high school student, goes through his daily routine as the women of the school interact with him. Eventually, (depending on your choices) one of them asks you to go steady with them. I figure it could be any of the girls from Ys 1 through 6 (maybe 7, have not heard much about it yet) ... Or you end up with Dogi if you managed to piss them all off. XD

Something like this... could even be done as a website game >_> With the proper art, scripting, etc.

I did something nerdy today.
A while back I won an auction for a few gamecube cases and a couple damaged snes games. (I got it cheap, no sweat), so I was reading up on what I could do to fix them and then I ran into some stuff about the ROM chips and swapping them between games.
One of the the damaged games is Tetris 2. The problem was at the cartridge end. The 60-pin end was so badly damaged it had gaps between where the reader plugs in and the rest of the board, so the system could not read the ROM chip at all.
So I took my broken Tetris 2 game and a sports game I never wanted but was stuck with (NBA Jam, I believe) which was in excellent condition (due to never being played) and swapped their ROM chips (courtesy of wonderful de-soldering and soldering techniques I picked up in computer engineering classes I failed).
So now I have a useless NBA Jam game that is garbage and a perfectly working Tetris 2.
Yay!

Hah. That sounds like a project that I wanted to do back in college. It was right around when the Star Fox 2 beta was found. Emulator support was buggy but I was hearing reports that it would run perfectly on a real SNES. I talked a prof into letting me use an EEPROM burner to get the rom image onto a chip but what stopped me is I didn't know if there was any extra bytes/header info on the rom I needed to strip off for it to work in an SNES and I needed a game with the Super FX 2 chip in it. Not 1, not 1.5, but 2 (and Super FX games don't say the version of their chip). I ended up finding out for sure that Yoshi's Island and Doom were SFX2 games but didn't want to sacrifice my Yoshi's Island cart

I had originally posted this at another forum, but I figure what the heck... It shows off my game collection to date. Notes: - The "Cover" shows the entire collection in one shot, while the close-ups focus on sections for a better "view" of the collection. ... two copies of Metroid Prime: Hunters? x3
In any case, that's a very impressive collection. I wish I had the room (and money) for something like that.

Actually, I have 4 copies of Metroid Prime Hunters AND 4 copies of the First Hunt demo that came with the first-release DS systems. If I had 2 more DS systems I could host my own 4-player games and be confident that I would win since I would be the only one playing. >_> As for Metroid Prime 1, yes I have 5 copies, but they are not all the same. I have: - 2x "Version 1.0" singles - 1x "Version 1.0" with Metroid Prime 2 demo disc - 1x "Version 1.2" with Metroid Prime 2 demo disc - 1x "Version 1.2" Player's Choice I have been hunting for the version 1.0 discs because they allow you do some seriously awesome sequence breaking.

Double-post, so shoot me, but at least they are totally unrelated. I finally got around to working more on a sprite I was building.
