Abyss has a better battle system. :D But I found the story gave me a little bit of headache though but overall, I like it more than Symphonia. Never really did care about Symphonia except for Zelos and ... um ... his swim wear. ^^
I seriously kept him in that outfit the moment I got it and I just found it so funny to see him running around in battle nearly nekkid.
I'm ... easily amused.
On that note, in Abyss, I left Jade in his comfy bathrobe and slippers throughout the last part of the game too. I think he was the only one I left in "swimwear" although I think I had Luke and Guy running around in theirs as well until things felt a bit too weird.

In Phantasy Star Universe, I amassed at least 100 gameplay hours while my male character was in swim trunks.

there's a few twists. I wont tell unless you don't mind spoilers, though. I absolutely hate spoilers with very very few rare exceptions. Toejam and Earl was one such exception, games where the story/ending take a backseat don't matter much. Abyss has a better battle system. But I found the story gave me a little bit of headache though but overall, I like it more than Symphonia. That DOES sound pretty good. How are the dungeons by comparison? I didn't really hate the dungeons in Symphonia, but I didn't really like them either. My least favorite dungeon so far had to be the "Dezarian" (am I thinking of Phantasy Star and Dezolis...?) base near the end of disc 1.

I have yet to beat Abyss, and I don't really remember the dungeons in Symphonia, so I'll leave that to nunuu. I did like Symphonia, though. Maybe just because it was my first Tales game, but I honestly had no real issues with it. I still think the last port of Phantasia was the best of the series (of which I have played seven, but only beaten two, lawl), but I've already gone there. Desian is the word you're thinking of, though. Probably did mix it with Dezolis.

TT~~~ I can't remember much about the dungeons of either game. All I remember is loathing the Aeropolis in Tales of Destiny. :P

I have been doing that the ENTIRE game on my New Game + (mostly because it's the only alt. outfit he has right now that I find interesting). It's so amusing watching him in his bathrobe whenever he is trying to fulfill his "colonel obligations". None of the other characters compare to it.

I'd hit it.
Then again, I'm not one to be talking about being aroused by one of the same sex.

It's not 2012 yet, what manner of trollery is this?

Goddammit what they could at least localize the original ToG.

I don't really get it. What game is this?

Tales of Graces F, the PS3 enhanced port of Tales of Graces.

Oh, and it's being localized? Cool. I hear the story and music are both rather sub-par in Graces, but the gameplay is supposedly great, so I'll take it. Would still have preferred Vesperia PS3 by a mile, but this is certainly a step in the right direction.

Goddammit what they could at least localize the original ToG. If it makes you feel better, there have been rumors going around that they would port the bonus content into the Wii version.

Oh god that better not happen or I will be so mad.
Then again, by "rumors" I assume you mean optimistic wishes of Tales fans who own a Wii but not a PS3, so I'm not so worried about it.

Oh god that better not happen or I will be so mad. Why would you get mad? EDIT: Also, I have no idea where the rumor originated. A friend of mine told me it and he isn't really a big RPG fan to begin with.
