Rosenkreuz was alright for a playthrough. I never bothered with the bonus mode or the sequel with one of the boss characters now the player character.
When the game was trying to be original, I thought it was weak. When the game was blatantly ripping off Mega Man (like a lot of screens are 1 to 1 conversions from Mega Man games and heck even the final boss has 2 forms, one being in a floating pod and weak against one of the most useless abilities up to that point) it was an amusing homage.
It's really just a moe repackaging of Mega Man, which of course I don't like, and is about as fun as one of the weaker Mega Man titles. The soundtrack also has some decent songs.

I personally loved the soundtrack, and I thought it was rather fun, original or not. but each to their own, I suppose.

Heyo~! Welcome~! ^_^ Ok, talking about pirating = bad. got it. (not that I really would) You will find that it seems to be all right to talk about piracy as long as it doesn't involve Falcom. :P 'Course, we don't openly post links to torrents or download sites. At least, not that I can remember. Oh, and Ruins of Amnesia is indeed a wonderful track. Loved that as well as The Pirate Ship and the sanctuary tune. Release of the Far West Ocean and Mighty Obstacle were were good the first few times and then I became to realize certain synth instruments were extremely annoying. Now I can no longer listen to those tunes the same ever again. :( Also, I'd whine about Xanadu Next but I won't. :B */me is about the only person on this board that doesn't like Xanadu Next and was happy to get rid of it quite quickly after finishing it.* |

Thanks Bugen, I like being here, chatting with everyone. It feels like a really friendly community around here.
Also Tom, I've noticed while looking around the net that you are also working on a Xanadu Next English. is that still going on? or is it finished already?

Oi, it looks like a lots going on then, I suppose. Is the game at least easy to play through with little to no knowledge on what's going on like with Ys Origin?
