Bathroom, or just plain old 'toilet'. 'Washroom' has always sounded a little odd to me. I think maybe it's American English?

All of them! It's true! Often restroom if I'm at a restoraun, washroom at school, and bathroom at hom. Same here! :'D Actually, I tend to alternate the most between bathroom and washroom/toilet. I mean.... whenever someone says the word bathroom, I get visions in my mind of a place where you can wash up and all AND take a shower/bath. Because of that, it feels odd to call the toilet/washroom a bathroom in a place like.... a restaurant, airport, random hotel lobby place, or something. :'D Nu showers installed as far as I can see! (Or bathtubs! X'D)

You HAVE a whole bunch of fish in your bathROOM! Yep, I say bathroom too. Though, I have thought of what Yakra said as well, before she said it -- how can it be a BATH room if it doesn't have a bath?! It should be a "toilet room" or something. Granted you DO wash your hands after, so "washroom" makes a little bit of sense, though it's not exclusively made for washing. They have shower rooms, so that makes sense!

XD Same here, Red. So technically, a bedroom is a restroom! Some DO have chamberpots!

I take a shit on the shitter, take a bath in the bathroom, wash in the washroom...
Does that mean I toil on the toilet?

I take a shit on the shitter, take a bath in the bathroom, wash in the washroom... Does that mean I toil on the toilet? depends on your daily fiber intake. I say outhouse, because I live in South Carolina.

Bathroom's pretty much a cover-all statement for me. Unless I explicitly state my intention... which is pretty much only the case when I'm trying to be vulgar... or if I'm gonna take a shower. Which isn't that vulgar.
Or is it~?

Bathroom, or just plain old 'toilet'. :) 'Washroom' has always sounded a little odd to me. I think maybe it's American English? I think washroom is a me thing. :P Everyone seems to use bathroom. I don't say bathroom because I relate that to an actual bathroom where people take baths. :P I say outhouse, because I live in South Carolina. DDDDDDDDDDD: Is it actually one of those wooden stalls with a wooden "toilet" or just a hole in the ground?
