You crazy bastard. I'll be doing both nightmare/inferno eventually, but I started on normal myself. Anyways, at the Zone of Lava now, ran into some pesky enemies that rape me (like a swarm of them) and I can only do 3-4 damage to them. I guess I'll get something later that can help me kill them. I would've started on Inferno if it was unlocked already. <_< Keep in mind I've already beaten all difficulty levels on PC. You're not supposed to be able to defeat those bugs until you get a new ability elsewhere in the Lava Zone. You can try to survive the swarm to get the jar and Raval in that room and then run out, or you can leave it until later.

AAAH! You people are really making me want to replay this! DAMMIT! I've already decided I'm not going to play it again till I have a 32" in my bedroom. (I mean tv, not sub or anything. . . though that would be awesome. . . mmmm, meatballs.....)

This is the worst next to last boss ever. EDIT: So... aside from Wyrd, am I the first person here to beat the PSP version in English?

I'm gonna pansy hardcore by doing an Easy difficulty run! I think this is the second time I've chosen Easy to play but the first time I started with it right off the bat. XD

Got it two days ago. My only complaint is that it's too short.

... Margo's voice acting really creeps me out. "And look at those big STRONG muscles!" *edges away*
The voice acting is... OK. The actors spent too much effort trying to make it dramatic, and instead it comes across as hamming it up. I prefer voice acting that's more casual and "character in the scene", like in Valkyria Chronicles. I listen to a lot of audio books and radio plays though, so I probably just have high expectations.

Obviously the best voice actor in the game is the soldier that introduces the Countess..
Anyways, having a blast with the game, at Elderm Mountains now, need to fight the first boss there but have been getting gold for equipment, should be set now though.

I'unno. Personally, I thought he was the worst voice in the entire game. I even adressed it in my amazing 5000 character review which everybody should read.
Man, I really wish I knew who voice acted him, though. Just so I can laugh at whoever it is to myself. Seriously. You know, it'd be funny if I knew him.

*raises hand*
I got the LE. I played just enough to get past Tigray Quarry, and I'm liking it so far. I guess I shouldn't be surprised how much it reminds me of Ys VI, being based on the same engine and all. (I was actually expecting the amount of voice acting to be on the same, kind of insane level as Ys VI PS2... ^^; I don't know why, exactly -- probably just a subconscious thing because they're similar games in the same series. Granted, there's still a lot of voice acting, so it's probably not really fair to be disappointed. :p)
Odd question... Why does the CD case lack a back/spine insert? I noticed that the disc with the Ys Seven LE was the same way, and it's just... kind of odd. If it had them, I'd probably store them with the rest of my CDs, but it wouldn't really fit in there's no spine to look at when I'm glancing over my shelf.
(Also, while the mini-calendar itself is pretty cool, I'm kind of disappointed that the calendar pages aren't actually bound together in any way, and that it doesn't have pages for November and December of this year as well... which is understandable since it's specifically supposed to be a 2011 calendar, but I might forget about the calendar by the time January rolls around. :p)
(And sorry if it seems like I'm concentrating too much on the negative. I'm enjoying the game as a whole and the package as a whole -- but the smaller things did bug me a bit, and more detailed impressions of the game would be kind of pointless since pretty much everyone here has played or at least will eventually play it. :p)

I liked the Proluge novella-thing in it, as well as the soundtrack options.
I'm currently in the Zone of Fire.

Yeah, it's even making pirates pick up copies, all the little extras jammed into the game.

Maybe we should call Tom/Wyrdwad "Paul" from now on. You talked yourself into some VA work? any of your other collegues picked up a role?

Honestly, my favorite VA's are Chester, the Bishop, the Narrator, and Bernhardt.

the VA is good overall, would have liked a more sinister voice for the King. it sounds a bit to friendly for such a bastard.
