Okay, okay you all remember how when we were children, and maybe young. We would get gifts, cards filled with money, and of course clothing around the holidays. Then when you finally got to the umber phay cewl present, your eyes lite up and started to scream. That cewl present for the most of us, was videogames.
I was just thinking about how much of a loser I am back in 2000, and I was in my mid teens, and for the first time, in all my years playing videogames, I never had that happy holiday feeling.
You know the surge of knowing you will be getting something exciting. Instead you open up, a present
to find Hey you pikachu. That is right, I was into the pokemon.
From red to blue, and even imported the god forsaken yellow, that blah blah. I was what you would call a fanboy. Like the blind trooper I was, going around the place supporting Nintendo like a Naszi, instead having sex with two women at one time. I mean what was I thinking, No I was not thinking, I was just the little happy go consumer, and then I had to read the article on pokemon, and fell in love with Jessie, and James black rocket outfits. The flat fact is this.
I recieved a christmas present, I played and I was not happy. Not for the longest time, until I got my GCN with SSBMelee. Then all the way to RE4, I finally gave up on 3D games and just started to go backwards.
Now more then ever, I see the more recent stuff, and I say this is just a pile of plastic crap, not gold. If I got a newest game out there in one of those extra dorkfuritwaddodoododoo flat, flimsy, extra flat on paper, flat boxes, I ask myself, Where is the rest of packaging?.
Then I turn on the screen to see this umbr 3d, while nice, is not really that big a difference compared to a PC game from 1994 years. I feel ten times happier with my next to nothing KB games, then with any 60TB blu-ray rubbish.
So this thought just crossed my mind. Me getting hey you pikachu, and not being excitied. So when was the last time you ever had a game, and felt like, What??
There was other times like with
Hybrid Heavan
Dinosaur Planet
Megaman Legends
When I just felt dissapointed, at that particular point in time.
IF I could, I would go back in time to 1994, kick my but and make me flip over, then break my N64 over my knee, or burn all my Nintendo stuff, then tri-slap my face with an "how to program assembler" book, or bible, or even a porno magazine. Then save myself the horror of opening "Hey you pikachu" on Christmas morning.
