Unless I'm reading things wrong, it seems like there's mention in yesterday's Falcom news zine that next year will be the company's 30th anniversary.
Could this mean that we'll be getting a new Ys? Afterall, it's a special year for the company!!!

Yeah, hopefully that means that there will be some really good stuff next year. I mean, moreso than the really good stuff we got this year and in past years of course. If all else fails, there's that Falcom Classics Zero idea I pitched in the topic about Thursday's announcement...

For some reason, I'm expecting more giveaways and contests or maybe even crazy deals for existing games than new games from Falcom. ^^; I'm sure they'll have some sort of spiffy line-up for 2011 though!

I wonder if Falcom will pull a Square Enix and release the English version Felghana in Japan as a FINAL MIX? XD
Afterall, it's got ENGLISH VOICE OVERS. OoOooooOh.

I'm hoping for Ys x2. VII PS3 and IV.
AND IF I DON'T GET THOSE I'LL BE PISSED! Kidding, though if VII doesn't come out I'll be legitimately surprised.

A remake of Ys IV would be the best thing they could do for the franchise for their big anniversary. End of story.
Best thing they could do in general? A more serious version of my Falcom Classics Zero idea, just with fewer games but which could really use a remake. The original Xanadu, Drasle Family, Star Trader and maybe Sorcerian as a separate project (with the supplimental scenarios). The first three wouldn't need to be Oath-level, just enough to make them look and sound respectable. Seriously, if they did that, best year ever.

I'll take Ys IV, Ys V remakes for PSP and porting Origins to PSP as well.
Forget Ys SEVEN PS3, sure I'll buy it, but I'm not that stoked at the possibility of it than my previously mentioned titles, or Ys 8.

Clearly, they'll take this opportunity to give us all the sequel that we've all been clamoring for this whole time...
...I am, of course, referring to Star Trader II: Trade Harder.
...
Seriously, though? If they take it as a reason to do something special, a new Ys game seems like a pretty obvious suggestion -- though a new Xanadu would be pretty cool, too. They're both franchises that've been with them for a long time.

Hirm.
I think I'll be willing to give Xanadu Next another try if it, I dunno, had a makeover of sorts. XD And maybe with the makeover, it'll have a soundtrack that makes Time Crevice bearable!
Buh, more thinkage~~~ I just might be able to sit through that Sun-baked Throb over Time Crevice. :O
Have we ever had a thread specifically devoted to worst Falcom tunes, BTW? I'm about to head to bed so I won't be searching. XD
