So, Wyrdy, is there any possibility that you can talk about the US sales(Seven & Oath) so far? A buddy of mine was wondering how you guys feel the sales have been so far, as in, are they atleast satifactory? He said "according to vgchartz.com, Ys 7 is basically now tied between US sales and JApanese" & "and Oath in Felghana looks like in their 5th week, they will have caught up to total Japanese sales since launch, at 41K units".
And lastly he was mainly interested because of "well, two things I'm interested in: 1) Not sure how "real" the Japanese numbers are on vgchartz.com so not sure if comparisons are realistic 2) I'm really more interested in whether they're going full speed ahead on the Sora no Kiseki titles"
Also, said thought he saw something about releasing the 3 games in March, June, & September, which surprised me, as I figured it'd take longer then that for those 3 games cuz of all the text.
So, is there any of this you can comment on...or anyone else can comment for that matter, if there's something you know that I don't?

And did SEVEN sell a lot more than Oath, or vice versa?

I'm hoping they both sell very well. I'd buy them, if I had a PSP.

Wait... you got SCEA's approval, but not SCEE's?
What the hell kind of role reversal is this?

Oh, I was about to say, SCEA's usually the one that shoots down publishers' hopes... god, I hate their policies.

I wish we'd translate an English game to Japanese one of these days, just so I could see what CERO is like, too. I'll bet it's equally fascinating. I'm sure they'd find a way to censor it, like they've done with every other game. Doubly so if it's Western, I'd bet.

The main thing I don't get is the 3 games being a 2 part chapter!? Very bizarre!

What? Has Ys 7 been released in Europe? Only on PSN or what? Gurumin actually got released here, but it was a secret to everybody. The same applied to Ys 6.

The product description with its bizarre nomenclature should tip you off that that's... not information WE gave them. Wait, so you're telling me that one character's name isn't Yoshua? And he's a boy?! Could have fooled me... Oh to think how wrong I've been! Seriously though, one gets the impression that whoever did provide that information was just learning Japanese and still has to consult a katakana chart they can't quite read properly. I'm not sure how else you'd get Rebel out of Ribe-ru or Opal out of O-baru. They also pretty clearly haven't played the original game since most of the romanizations they got wrong are clearly visible in the game in English/ Yeah, don't think anyone with a working brain cell will think they got that information from you. On the subject, at least one poster on GameFAQs (abandon all sanity, ye who enter here) claims to have emailed XSEED and been told that all three games are coming out next year. Apparently he's never played the games either or he'd know how batshit insane that suggestion is.

Yes, Ys SEVEN in Europe is only on PSN . Actually, something I'm curious about... since XSEED (a company based in the US) released the game in Europe themselves, is the European version English-only? Or did they get another company to do translations for other languages?

Well, I expect it to be after Chronicles (a given), which is already "early". Thankfully I'll be playing all of these Ys games before TitS comes out to keep me occupied.

Okay I know this is just wishful thinking and it's very, very impossible to happen but what if each of the Ys games released in the US reached, let's say, a million copies?

Keep in mind that by "early-ish," I don't mean January. I mean, like, first half of the year... maybe. If we can. -Tom Bonus points if the game lands somewhere in March so I can celebrate my birthday with some Trails in the Sky.
