Y'know, considering how close my birthday is to Christmas, I always considered it more of an expansion pack (so to speak) for Christmas rather than as its own thing. So... - 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors - Final Fantasy Tactics: Coherent Translation Edition - Spice and Wolf (The Complete First Season) - Slayers + Slayers Next + Slayers Try box set (...actually, I ordered this for myself since I saw it on sale, but it just happened to arrive today. So, happy birthday, me!) - A raincheck on the Scott Pilgrim box set (apparently, it was out of stock) So, yay.

Not pictured are: many sweet things a new car stereo (not a new sound system and nothing fancy, haha, just something simple to replace the broken stock radio I had) 2 stuffed penguins (I am still a kid and I love penguins shutup) a calendar a photo of my grandfather new shoes and a new backpack

What is Eden of the East? I've heard buddies talking about it.

That's some nice stuff, Ashy. What's not so nice is that I can't read the text in that picture unless I do this: Whoa, the picture magically enlarged after I posted that. I didn't know AA sprites had that kind of power!

It's strange, the image is compressed by the forum. If you rightclick-view image it should appear fullsize and the text is legible then.
Smithee: Eden of the East is pretty much amazing. Last truly excellent anime I've seen. plenty of sites have plot summaries, but it's hard to explain what makes it so good from just the plot alone. It's just... purely likeable, I guess. For me, anyways; and I don't really care for anime anymore these days.

Belated, but whee! Been busy. As usual. My parents and I no longer do gifting, which saves us much money and stress. However, I did get a few things from other venues: - MP sent a lovely package of gummies, chocolate, and coffee (!!!!) XD Which makes me very happy.
- Ashurei got me Hetalia Vol. 1 manga, plus a gift card for vol 2. And a surprise visit to deliver them on Christmas Eve! <3 I wuvs my friends. XD
- My aunt bought me a couple pounds of my fave choice coffee. YAY.
Annnd I shelled out for myself earlier this month on a few things: - New mp3 player (Creative x-fi 32 GB)
- World of Warcraft: Cataclysm collector's edition. (Yeah, yeah, I know. I enjoy it, so shush.)
- Lunar: Silver Star Harmony (Figured I may as well. I've played all the others...)
..Also, count me in the $10 earbud/headphone cost ring. I'm cheap and I've bought more costly ones that I hated the feel and sound of. :\

Is the whole Eden of the East series available to purchase officially within America/Canada?

The series is (as one boxset with an MSRP of $54.98 US on DVD and $59.98 on Blu-ray, but definitely available for cheaper if you look around). The movies aren't out yet, though.
I haven't watched it yet, but having the same director as Moribito and Ghost in the Shell: SAC certainly got my attention.

You say the movies aren't out yet, which -- using the skills I've learned from The Batman -- would mean that they shall be released. Is this assumption correct?

You say the movies aren't out yet, which -- using the skills I've learned from The Batman -- would mean that they shall be released. Is this assumption correct? Wikipedia says that they've been licensed, and the first movie (King of Eden) is scheduled to come out on March 22nd. So, it seems that way.

Lumi: Didn't I also sent you a bag of Panda liquorice? Perhaps the postman ate it? In any case, glad that you enjoyed your gift. Ack, oh yes! You did send that too, and it was yummy-- what I got of it before I shared some with my dad and he all but stole it away. He's lovin' it very much though.

This was long overdue. I also got a bunch of gift cards (which I promptly used to order something magnificent, see Recent Purchases thread) and clothes (which I am very glad to get, I always need new clothes).

My first out-of-country gifts finally arrived! The red one is from MP83 while the Amazon.com one is from a friend in the US (not from this forum). :D My not-from-ALoY friend got me the Brian Regan DVD. :3 After opening MP83's gift~~ A familiar sight! XD But mmMmmm~ I like the chocoyums~! And the funny hat-looking candies (they remind me of like cotton candy but ... not as fizzy or soft. ^^;;;) are quite good! :D Tried one of the hard gummies too. ^^; Thankees for the gifts~! One day, I will get off my lazy ass and get you something. TOT~~~~

Oh, btw, since I wasn't sure if it was okay to say because I wasn't sure about manners, but since everybody else posted their gifts, I got the game Santa's Workout! I was kind of busy with Christmas celebrations and then school that I almost forgot, but I'll get back on my thoughts of the game in a flash!

So I played a bit, and it is great! But so hard! D: Maybe I should play Child mode. I suck at this type of game though...
