Rather than filling up the Recent Purchases thread, we may as well put the pictures here! So as soon as you get some festivity items, post 'em up!

Alright, even though I bought Nier for my brother, I decided I wanted it, so I opened up his gift and took it out. Now it is mine. At least he's still getting Peace Walker!

My buddy got me a pair of Sony headphones for Christmas, and wow. They're amazing. I'm hearing parts of music I never knew existed!
WOW! Kaine/Salvation from the Nier soundtrack sounds too amazing for words! I can't believe it!

I love that too - recently bought a pair of Sennheiser buds after about a year without decent headphones and it's like I'm listening to entirely different music <3

I went to our local electronics chain to gets some gifts, and wound up finding a pair of Yamaha ear buds for dirt cheap. Freakishly good for the money I spent on them (all of $15). I'm honestly not sure even the more expensive brands I've had before have sounded this full. I'm really tempted to buy a second pair to stash away for when these ones break. I go through at least 2 ear buds a year just because of how much use I give them. The damn plug always frays. :/
Woah, so like on topic. So far we have: Finnish chocolate and gummy care package (thanks MP ^_^) Car stereo from my grandma so that I stop (illegally) driving deaf (lol ear buds blasting music) And I don't have it, but I know my mom got me a PSP 3000 to replace my dead 1000 Also don't have this: my friend brought me Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness at work today, but when I opened it there was a different game inside, so he's taking it back to the game store people to complain, haha.
Aside from stocking stuffer-y type things (candies and maybe a small bit of monies?) that's probably all I get. Easily more than enough for me these days, anyways. ^^
Edit: I guess I bought myself Darksiders, Nier and Resonance of Fate, too. Not sure if self-gifts count, haha.

A few coworkers got me Christmas cards. One of them included a few scratch-and-win lottery tickets. No winning ones -- of course not, since it's the lottery -- but it was nice anyway.
(Also, aw, I was kind of hoping that this was a thread to post what we were getting other people for Christmas. I might post that anyway, though, once Christmas is over with.)

I've been using these HD555s for about two years now, love them. For some reason their price seems to be going up not down as well. £56 when I got them, now the cheapest new on Amazon is £100 >>

I go through at least 2 ear buds a year just because of how much use I give them. The damn plug always frays. :/ I need a new set of buds once every 2 months, at the longest. They usually just fall apart, no matter how well I try to treat them. Then again, I can only afford cheap ones... and when I did buy a $25 pair, they broke within 3 weeks. I've been about 2-3 months without any form of headphones now, it's absolutely dreadful. Anyway, early present opening has given me a Wal-Mart gift card and a really nice pair of bed pants. These are so thick and soft and perfect for me (they're Family Guy branded, with Stewie looking mischievous as usual and the text "I've been a bad boy" plastered all over them). @karura: My mom just said I've turned into a scrawny Hulk. Gee, I wonder why.

$25 for a pair of headphones is cheap. Quite cheap, in fact. I shelled out $75 for mine. Seeing as I am a man of impeccable taste, they are naturally Sennheiser as well.

Consider this: for the longest time, my headphones of choice were in the $10 range. I'm still using a PC headset that was $20, and I got it 2 years ago. I don't exactly shit money.

I don't think anyone does, to be quite honest.
Well, maybe HJ does.

The stockings have been opened. I obtained a bunch of standard stocking goods, socks, two books, and fancy ramens.
The books are Flowers for Algernon and The Kiln People.

Doesn't change the fact that $25 is still cheap and low-tier when you made it sound like it isn't. Also, instead of buying garbage that breaks every month or two, just save up and buy some quality buds that'll last you. If you don't have a lot of money, spend what you have wisely!

I feel really outta the loop on all the bud talk. I dilike anything that obstructs my senses and makes me autistic to the world. I need to be aware of my environment, so I've never liked headphones, earplugs, etc. . .
Gifts: despite ardent insistence that people not get me gifts, they always do, Thankfully there's less refusal now, since I hardly know anybody in this state. The gifts I was unable to decline were a $50 gift card to Kohl's, a $50 card for Gamestop (which I'll probably put toward a Wii in about a month), and a month back my mother gave me $100 toward my new TV/computer monitor which she refused reimbursement for (early Christmas present.)

The Kiln People, Flowers for Algernon, The Long Halloween, Doctor Who Series 5, Venture Bros. Season 3, fancy ramen noodles, sketchbook, and a cellphone! A worthy haul indeed! And a samurai shirt!

So far, I got:
- Various home theater stuffs, including a Blu-ray player (not a PS3, actually; my backlog is big enough as it is!) - Red Dwarf (the complete collection on DVD) - Gurren Lagann (again, the complete series on DVD) - The Back to the Future trilogy (on Blu-ray) - Patapon! - Chocolates!
And I gave:
- My mom Pillars of the Earth (the miniseries), which she asked for - My dad Dragon's Lair on Blu-ray (since he still talks about it once in a while) - My brother Lego Rock Band and a bunch of Microsoft Points - My other relatives gift cards (I'm not always good at this sort of thing!) - A friend of mine Moribito: Guardian of the Darkness (the sequel to the book that the anime series was based off of). I'd pick it up myself (since I definitely liked the series), but I hardly ever read books anymore. ^^;
