No sense beating around the bush.
I am NintendoToad. You may recognize me from other sites. I am a programmer in C++, ObjC, and bash if that counts. I can develop in XHTML, HTML, and PHP. I am not very good with PhotoShop.
I am a WINE user. It's convenient that most of the Falcom games run in WINE just fine.
I am a porter. This means I like to place Windows games in "WINE wrappers" so they can be launched on the Mac as if it were a native .app.
I hope to get to know you all a little better.

Hey, I thought I recognized you, but I guess not! Welcome to the board, it's nice to meet you. So you aren't a regular on GameFAQs, or perhaps ROMHacking? WINE? I prefer Alcohol, myself.  Actually no, I've never heard of it, but I did quick research. Does it work on Windows 95/98 games? Could I dual-boot and run a Mac OS and play a Windows 95/98 game with WINE? Maybe that'd be better than using VirtualBox? |

Welcome!  Always fun to meet somebody new who is awesome with programming. I've been playing around with learning it, but I can never stay focused enough to actually get anything done. One of these days  That said, awesome work you do with the WINE wrapping. Not a mac-head meself, but that's still seriously awesome. |

Not only that, but you also did it wrong:  That word needs to have two exclamation marks in the end. :P Multiple exclamation points are a sure sign of madness. (So says Terry Pratchett, at least. :p) I prefer to tidy up the extra punctuation for a nicer, saner tomorrow. XD |

Hi NintendoToad. Nice to meet you. Great to hear that you've had such success before with getting several Falcom titles to run on Mac with WINE. I've used programs such as CrossOver and CrossOverGames that I believe use WINE to try and run several Falcom games on my Intel MacBook Pro and I've never once been successful in running any of them...
When you say that you run these games using WINE, is that something you've installed directly? I'd be interested in knowing your setup sometime that has been successful for you.
