Maybe someone in the know can enlighten me here. I've noticed since I started importing games (which began with Ys 7, so recently) that a lot of games in Japanese include large amounts of english. Like all of the Ys games have the menus at least partly in english. I was watching a video of Zero no Kiseki and saw that mid-battle stat bonus graphics are in english as well (Atk Advance, Str Up, etc).
Why? Do they expect them to come to the states? Or is our alphabet just easier to read?

English is hip in japan. I'm not kidding. When I was taking japanese in highschool I made a point to play through FF4j so I could learn new words...
Only to find 3/4ths of the damn game's items, spells, words I was curious about were in katakana.
It appeals to the younger generation. There's more to it? But that's part of it.

Hmmmmm muy interesante. Maybe that's why the Japanese seem to love to throw random enlish into their songs as well.
Merci beaucoup.

When I heard of that anime, I was so happy to see a title I actually understood right off the bat.

Zombies are so overdone that even Japan is getting on on the action more and more
