Here's the article, & there's a video with my aunt talking about her & the accident. www.koinlocal6.com/news/local/story/Man-arrested-after-fleeing-deadly-Northeast/5eFWuL0iykyc-kkzqN8yQA.cspxThe reason I mention it today, is cuz today was some kind of pre-trial thing, & the arogant assclown that killed her was blowing kisses at my family in court. My cousin's husband gave him....a sign that he is going to get what's coming to him(& I will say no more then that) & her sister got up & yelled something to the effect that he murdered her sister. I wasn't at the funeral(open casket & all) since we didn't have the money to fly up there, & I was taking care of my parents house while they went. I wasn't too bad emotionally(though, thinking about how bad both her husband & my uncle were taking it got me hurting), but after watching the video, it all finally hit me that she's gone. It felt good to finally cry. I had been pretty numb for the past week. I hadn't talked to her in years. If I believed in a fiery burning hell, I'd say there's a special place for him there. It'll be a year before the actual trial. I guess he'll just be in jail, rather then a "pound him in the ass prison", though, someone said that jail it actually worse, cuz there aren't gangs in there for you to join up with to protectt you. Oh, & supposedly he had something to someone about him figuring he'll only do a year or 2. Stupid bastard.

I'm really sorry to hear that about your cousin, PD. That's just terrible and even more so that this individual showed no human quality or remorse of what he did. Unfortunately, there just are some people in this world who are inconsiderate or irresponsible when it comes to dealing with other people, let alone driving with them on the roads. And then there are some people out there who are just not even worth the air they breathe. This guy sounds like the latter and I hope that he will be punished by the full extent of the law. My condolences to you and your family.

Thank you.
Forgot to mention, apparently his alchohol level was 3 times the state limit.

Wow... uh, what. I... don't really know how to respond to something like this. That's just horrible.

This, kids, is why I am terrified of driving.
I hope the judge has enough sense to give him the punishment he deserves for being an idiot.
I'm really sorry about your loss, and I hope your family gets closure for this. It would be a shame if justice failed again.

Hey pal, hang in there. This is a terrible tragedy. Really sorry to hear what you're going through. I've stared evil in the face before when we got held up at work, and you learn that some people just don't care what they do to another human being. You and your family are in my prayers.

That's a huge shame. Alcoholism is such a scary thing, it destroys even strangers lives... and he shows no remorse? He's disgusting... people at my school are going this path, it is terrifying.
And to lose a loved one is a hard ordeal, just know that they're with God now, and it is the order of things.

Very sad news indeed, PD. My thoughts go out to you and your family.
My blistering RAGE also goes out to the jerkass at fault for such a horrible loss. It's bad enough that his indiscretion caused such a thing in the first place, but I find the behavior you describe him having displayed in the court absolutely abhorrent and disgusting. That goes well beyond unacceptable. Karma needs to come back on him in a big, big way.
Take care, and I'll be wishing nothing but the best for you guys.

Thanks for all your kind words, it's appreciated! I did find out that what I heard happened in court was slightly different, apparently he didn't blow kisses to my family, but to his family, but I did find out he was pumping his fist, like saying "he'll get thru this". Either way, he's a buttmunch. And my cousins husband had to be escorted out of the courtroom for some of his own behvior toward the drunk driving bastard. I'm really hoping he doesn't do something drastic, & end up getting himself in trouble for trying to take vengence of some kind There is a tremendous amount of evil in the world to beware of, but I believe there will be a time relatively soon when these kind of things are no more, that God will says "that's enough" & put an end to all suffereing, & then "the meek shall inherit the earth."

Oh man! I, amongst many of us here are truly sorry to hear that. As for guys like that, I've dealt with more than my fair share of them in the past up to now. Hang in there.
Edit: Just read the article and HOLY CRAP, this happened in Portland?! Its no wonder he's scum!

Very sorry to hear about this. I hope your family's doing all right. :\
But about the idiot's attitude -- is this a first offense? From the descriptions of his antics, it seems like this isn't the first time he's been in this spot before. Or maybe he's just an overconfident jerk. Either way, stupid drivers like him need to be kept off the road.
Will he get a life sentence for this? Without parole? Cuz I sure hope so.
If this isn't the first time he's zipped around DUI, then maybe he should be shipped to a state that has corporal punishment.

If I heard correctly, this would be his 3rd DUI. Won't know any results of what is to become of him for about a year sadly.

When I saw the most recent post for the subforum I just saw "My cousin was killed b..." and I knew it would be "drunk driver" before even clicking. Terribly sorry for your loss ;/ I hate drunk drivers and it's ridiculous their licenses aren't outright revoked as soon as they're caught given the danger they present to everyone...

Not sure revoking the license would do anything since lord knows there are enough people that drive around without one OR car insurance.

Actually, you might be right, I think his liscense was suspended IIRC, & he was still driving around like a toolbag!
