- Nintendo Gamecube
- PC

SEGA Game Gear w/ SMS converter Genesis w/ Sega CD, 32X, & SMS converter Nomad Saturn Dreamcast

I used to have a ton, but I sold them after I hacked up my Xbox to run all my older games via emulation. So now, I have the following-
Xbox JPS2 Gamecube N64 SNES GBA
I really only play on my PC these days though, but every once in a while something like Ys 6 pops up and I have to whip out all my old stuff. I'm a freak about some games though. For instance, I have both the US version of Unlimited SaGa and[/] the Japanese Collector's Edition. Same with Skies of Arcadia/Eternal Arcadia.
Eternal Arcadia, by the way, came with a choker and a flag! Very nice.

I had never known about that with the special edition until my girlfriend started wearing the choker as well as wearing the "flag" like a bandana.
I'm a freak about SNK's non-Neo Geo games. At some point I'll have the financial stability and the space so that I can buy an MVS cabinet, until then though I just get all the ports I can. Like I have 2000 through 2002 on the Dreamcast even though I also have 2000 through 2003 on the PS2. Both the US and Japanese versions of Dreamcast Mark of the Wolves, etc.

I guess I have a fetish for old computers and video games, so I've accumulated quite a bit so far. Recently I started selling some of my duplicate systems on e-bay, to make room for more systems. I included systems that I've bought that haven't gotten shipped here yet. (Takes forever for cheap shipping from Japan) I marked them as "Pending". It's possible they'll never get here or they won't work, though.
Consoles:
RCA Studio II Vectrex Emerson Arcadia 2001 Hanimex Pong clone Magnavox Odyssey 1 Magnavox Odyssey 3000 Magnavox Odyssey 2 Fairchild Channel F Atari Pong Atari 2600 Atari 5200 Atari 7800 Atari Jaguar Nintendo Famicom (several clones, too) Famicom Disk Drive NES SNES N64 Gamecube Virtual Boy Intellivision (1 and 2, plus an Intellivoice) Colecovision Sega Master System (1 and 2) Sega Genesis (1 2 and 3, modded to play Megadrive games) Sega 32x Sega CD Sega Saturn Sega Dreamcast Neo Geo MVS (Techincally arcade but it does take cartridges) Capcom CPS2 (same as above) Neo Geo CD 3DO (I forget which model. The front loading one) FM Car Marty ("Car" version of FM Towns game system/computer) NEC Turbografx 16 NEC Turbo Duo, modded to play PC Engine games NEC PC-FX Sony Playstation Sony Playstation 2 Nuon (Samsung N2000) Casio PV-1000 (Pending) Tomy Pyuuta Jr (Pending) FM Towns Marty (Pending) Casette Vision (Pending)
Handhelds:

Well, BlueLander beat me, I guess I have the 2nd highest number of systems. I'm kinda thinking of getting a GP32, mainly since it has emulators, or so I'm told, but I'm not even sure how that works, is there a USB port or something?

Yup, the GP32 uses USB. The thing actually doesn't have a cartridge slot. It's got a 32 mb memory card (upgradeable to 64), and all games have to be downloaded to it from your computer. Even commercial games come on CD, which you load on your PC and transfer to the GP32.
The GP32 does have a bunch of emulators, but most of them only sorta-work. I've had the most luck with the PC Engine emulator, but even that sometimes flips out in the middle of a game (especially Galaga '88 or Gunhed). The Genesis/Megadrive emulator works better, come to think of it. I don't think I've ever seen that one go nuts.
Another strange issue with the GP32 is overclocking. You can select the CPU speed in software, allowing certain emulators to run better. But some GP32s can be overclocked more than others, so it's just the luck of the draw if you get a good one. I believe the backlit units all can be overclocked to the max, though.
To be honest, as one collector to another, I don't know if I can recommend the system or not. None of the games developed specifically for the system are that hot, and the emulators all seem to be less than 100% operational. Most of the time I just use it as an MP3 player, and every once in awhile I'll play a quick game of MUSHA on it. The screen's better than a Nomad or Turbo Express, plus it's smaller and has a longer battery life, but it isn't as fully compatible and reliable as they are.
