I was kind of disappointed that my total playtime only came out to just under 40 hours. D:

I was somewhere between overachieving and trying to not let it consume my life. If I'd dashed through it would have been like yours but I kept talking to every NPC (anytime an event happened) being a septium glutton etc.

Crazy the people here that already beat the game...I haven't even started it yet because I hit the "needs firmware 6.30 or above" message and haven't turned on my PSP since...this is how I end up with huge backlogs lol

I'm just past the 30-hour mark and just started Chapter 3. I WAS fighting like a madman in the Prologue and Chapter 1 but I eased up on that at some point in 2 since there was nothing I needed to splurge on so I kept battles to a minimum. XD.
Oddly enough, I still had enough mira to upgrade armor and weapons. Had to trade in some Sepith to get enough for some accessories though.
Checked my stats last night and so far have over 400 battles, lost 11, and fled 30 times. XD
Since Haze and Eagle Eye are always equipped in the orb slots, I don't think I'll see too much of a rise in the running away stat.
Well, unless I keep encountering stupid wide enemies that plant themselves smack in the middle of a path like in some of the towers. >:(
I'm kind of sad that I won't have full BP by the e d of the game. At the moment, I should have 198 but I'm off by 2. I know that it was from the stupid sneak up behind monster without letting it runaway once bit at the farm in the Prologue. Oh well.
And no, I'm not giving the game another play after this which is why I'm trying to get everything in one go. Alas, I should have used a BP guide from the beginning.
Anyway, I am enjoying the mystery so far!! It's keeping me going. I hope the identity of the malevolent people will not disappoint!!
Also again! Chest messages are repeating. :( And Olivier and Joshua compatibility test result was not as I hoped!!

What I'm trying to figure out, is why some people say the game has dated gfx. I'm in Chapter 1 in Bose so far(playing the game at a snails pace compared to the rest of ya'll), & so far, the gfx are beautiful! Especially in homes & stores. And this is a game that came out 5 years ago! Are people on crack? I just don't see the datedness of the gfx!

Indeed! I find the graphics are pretty and love the details in the homes and such! ^______^
It brings me back to the time of Ys ETERNAL and Ys II ETERNAL though. XD

According to one reviewer, Blazblue looks like a Genesis game!

I just picked up the Premium Edition of this yesterday. Only about an hour in so far, but I'm absolutely loving it. All the goodies that came with it are very nice too. The Bracer Pin is on my ABU bag now haha. The game is incredibly well written too. The interactions between everyone are so carefully crafted. You really get a feel for just how close everyone is in the game. As for the gameplay, it's different from what I'm used to with falcom. Battles kinda remind me of the old SMT game, but running on the Ys VI engine. Still trying to get the hang of Orbments and Arts in general. It's really deep, but I have a feeling it'll be fun once I figure it all out. Wyrd, you and the others at XSeed are so awesome. Thanks for localizing awesome games such as this for us. You all do such a great job!

According to one reviewer, Blazblue looks like a Genesis game! I want that guy's system. Where can I get a superpowered Genesis for cheap? XD

SO far 9+ hours in....have a quick question. Is anyone else having graphical glitches? I started noticing this in the airliner, and now many places ...almost always while going thru doors (shops/houses, etc.). The characters look like an old TV that flickers between color, and black and white static...lasts a couple seconds.

I've had that happen, but I just assumed it was due to the overlapping character sprites.
Anyway, I'm about ~40 hours in, just recently started chapter 2. That's probably a bit excessive, but I try to talk to everyone after every plot event; unlike Ys Seven, it's something I actually look forward to. Fantastic game so far, blows the Ys series out of the water in many regards, IMO.

yup. just got to Bose and did some sidequests lasst night. Holy crap those plant things that drain your health are annoying. Still so fun though! I'm really interested to see how the plot pans out. The whole political plot between the Bracers and Army might turn out to have some nice twists, methinks.

Grumble, grumble...This is one of those times when I wished I had a walkthrough before me when I was playing the game. I had gotten to Bose before I realized when the window of opportunity for picking up the first Carnelia book occurred. As much as I love the game right now, I am really not in the mood to go playing through the prologue again...

Just beat the game without it, then New Game + it when you're done for completionism. -Tom Or I can wait for my annoyance factor at missing the 1st Carnelia volume grow enough that I will restart the game from the beginning... ...All things consider, I am enjoying the game a lot. When I have no problems grinding my PCs, that is a very good sign. I just wish I could play more at a single sitting. C.T.

Got it..... beat it......
Any word on SC and 3rd?
I read that this took 2 years to translate with THREE dedicated translators and the next 2 games are more than double the size of this one. With the NGP coming up what are the odds the next 2 get released on what will be essentially a dead system next year. I hope to god they get translated. A UMD release would be awesome but any release at all would make me more than happy.

Sorry Rextor, if it'd been a proper fan translation it would have been fine, but the translation itself is copyright of XSEED and may not be distributed here.
