It's not what you think! What are some events in your life, or accomplishments, and how many computers have you had since that event(s)? Example: I was born sometime 3 computers ago.

Computers are an abstraction of natural phenomena, as are all things.

Going off GMF's example, I was born... 8 (?) computers ago

I believe I had 3 -- one that my brother put together for me, one that I bought from Dell, and one that I got someone else to put together for me. :D
This is ... pretty much the same number of boyfriends I've had? But the second one was ... Ugh. >_>

One computer ago I tried to ask this girl out, because in my opinion she was flirting. A lot. I wouldn't have done it if I didn't feel like maybe she was interested. I even drew a portrait of her at her request. One of the best I've ever done. She said yes, but I think it was just to get rid of me. I don't think she ever had any intention of going out with me. The next time I saw her she asked if I was mad. I just replied "nope" and went back to being a professional hermit, feeling like an idiot for even trying.

One computer ago I still had hope for life and my future. On the other hand, this current computer sure has held up for a good number of years. My greatest fear is that I've simply had the same HDD for too long and I need to start making regular backups of vital info and/or get a new one.

Not sure how I'd date things myself. I mean, I have gotten 2-3 different computers before in a single day, all from people throwing giving them away. I don't really look at life broken down into monumental moments/milestones either.
Hmmm
