Hi hi. Kuro-chan here. I have not posted in ages, though I tend to hang out in the chatroom (We have one, BTW).
This is a bit of a shameless plug-in, I will be honest, but I have been working at this for the last 4 months now, putting my spriting efforts and ability to the test.
Excerpt from my site:
Metroid Remix is an open-ended demo game with no actual 'end' to it. The purpose of this is to demo our engine and graphics, to show we have been working hard towards making a complete and full version of this game.
--- Controls --- Arrow Keys: Movement Shift: Aim diagonally X Key: Fire weapon, toggle weapons in inventory screen Z Key: Jump S Key: Switch to Missiles Space bar: Pause

--- Notes --- Before playing, make sure to extract the full contents of the zip to a folder. Otherwise, the game won't run. Unfortunately, this demo is not Mac compatible, however, Mac support is possible in the future.
This is the bee's knees (do bee's have knees?) as a fan of Metroid, I just had to play it. Very well done demo. It seems kind of odd that even in the kneeling position, I'm still not low enough to kill a Zoomer Also, I got stuck inside a platform forcing me to quit, no big deal though since it be just a demo. It would be nice to have controller support since I tend to suck at playing games with a keyboard. Other then those minor hiccups, solid demo
I'll admit I still have some exploring to do, I did find my way to the first save point.
THANK YOU for the feedback. I certainly appreciate it. "IF" by any chance you manage to duplicate that, could you take a screenshot so we can better isolate the problem?
And yes, I know about the crouching thing. I find that amusing too. Hehe. It is possible to aim down.
We are getting underway to work on our second demo. We plan to include some more upgrades and some more areas to explore. We actually have the 2nd major area in the game already mapped out, but I am not sure we will include the entire section... Probably a little here and a little there.
Long time no post, but I wanted to mention this as it concerns me (and lack of activity... moreso than usual).
Our 2nd demo for Metroid Remix was launched within the last little while. There is more ground to cover, more stuff to collect, new upgrades and more enemies to bash you into the ground while you scream and curse at the game.
