So... I'm new to Ys, just started playing The Oath on Felghana. I've found a topic on these boards while searching more about Tomoyoshi Miyazaki (the Quintet quadrilogy are some of my favorite games - and i think i'm not the only one, looking on the boards b4 registering).

I saw he did stuff for the first 2, but me being a SNES/SFC generation kid, some of that graphics don't appeal to me. So I decided to try a more good looking one and I promise I'll go back to the first ones in the series when I get in the Ys mode

Other than that... dunno. I am male, i study psychology and am an Aquarius (not that i believe too much in that, but it's fun from time to time).

I feel the series will grow on you. For the first two games, I recommend either Ys I & II Chronicles on PSP or Ys I-II Complete on PC. That'd be a good start for you.

welcome. I too have just joined recently. I also second what those before me have already said. The series will grow on you. Just like Dogi's muscles, and Adol's travel logs grow themselves. ^_^

Yep, I am loving it this far and although I'm sure it would make more sense if i played I&II before this, The Oath is still is awesome even as (my) introductory game into the series.
