Just thought I'd let people know, that once Mysterious Song is finished & released for the Turbo(freeware I believe), we're working on Neutopia 3, which'll probably also be freeware, do to copyrights & such. I'm slated to do the music, but I told him that I haven't made music in awhile, about 10 years, however, I'm getting a JV 880, & maybe an external midi sequencer, & already have songs composed in my head, that have been swimming in there for years. My friend Jevax is going to help, especially since he's playing guitar in some songs, depending on the mood of the level. You can see his original post here on the Magic Engine PC Engine development board www.magicenginefx.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1147 Hope you don't mind that I linked that site, I just want people to know what'd coming.......besides PC Gunjin(think Contra) & Isles of Avuxnia(turn based RPG) from Mindrec! Edit-BTW, you'll probably here some JDK Band influence in my music, but I'll still keep it in the same vein as the other Neutopia games. And ofcoarse, this is if I can cram some midi knowledge in my brain on time, I have the ability to create, but, the technical part is difficult for me.

Wow. That's cool! Will you be using new graphics or the old ones? Or old improved ones? It's weird by the way, this page wasn't always Ancient land of Ys. It was originally Neutopia Web - a page dedicated to a project me and a friend were working on - a third Neutopia game! We dropped it though, and Neutopia Web was completely changed into Ancient land of Ys. If you read some of the really old threads in The dump, you can find some slight info about it.

I think he's making the graphics from scratch! Apparently, he started working on the project a few years ago, but, stopped for some reason. Now there's been a big uproar over the new games being made for Turbo & Neutopia 3 was high on the list of what people want to see, so, he's going ahead with the project. Here's his original post about Neutopia 3
I myself started developing a Neutopia III for the PC a number of years ago since Hudson never pursued the completion of a trilogy. It would have been the first Neutopia game to feature selectable characters (four descendants of Murdock), each with their own strengths and weaknesses. I stopped the project for a number of years because I became swamped with other work, but ever since getting back into coding, and particularly for the PCE, the idea of bringing a third Neutopia to fruition might be worth taking up once again. It sounds like something people would want to see, eh?

Looking forward to this game. I played both of the previous Neutopia games back in the Turbo Duo hay days. Great Zeldaish games.

Sounds cool, I loved Neutopia, it whooped Major......butt(Can we say that other word? *looks around for kids*). Around that time, I loved Neutopia and Illusion of Gaia. Can't wait for Neutopia 3!
Oh, BTW, your four choosable characters sorta sounded like the characters from the Gauntlet Series =P.

Yeah I was recently thinking the same thing, especially having a guy that shoots arrows, but that's cool, it's a mixing of styles!

Update, there's the first screenshot available(just the 3.0 card warning screen) & Nodtveidt is considering putting a couple of my songs up on the site for people to enjoy, though I suspect not the entire songs, especially since only one, the title screen is truly finished.

Another update, here's the title theme, www.nodtveidt.net/n3-title.wav Nodveidt decided to release it, this is where I come in, on the creation of the game, along with Jevax on some songs(& a few beautiful tracks he's working on by himself).
