This one is simple. I'm scared of failure.
Or, I fear failure.

I used to be terrified of heights as a child, but that's worked itself down to just a general distrust. I really, really hate cockroaches, too, but I guess it's not to the level of outright fear.
Hmm. This is definitely something to think about. Good topic!

Probably quite many, but I can name some here now. Thunderstorm. That is probably the thing I'm most afraid of nowadays. And it does have quite a big impact on me. Even when I hear there is one near and not a big one, I just lose my strength, my stomach starts to hurt and I start thinking about stuff. And if it is a big one and/or gets closer, everything just gets worse and worse. I can't do a thing. I know and understand why am I afraid of it, but it is damn frustrating too. I just can't help it all and all I can do is just keep my finger crossed and hope for the best (though I usually fear the worst). This is the very reason I hate summer, especially hot ones. The last thought: in the end I decided to put the following in spoiler tags, because I think it may go way too much for off topic - and might probably fit better on Randoms or Spam thread. It is up to you decide, or not. The second thing I ll say here sounds damn silly, because it is damn silly.
Probably not even worth mentioning as it is not a big deal at all, but I ll say it anyway. And I'm not sure if this is even a fear, or just a silly thing that makes me sad, but still I feel like I'm afraid of it sometimes. I don't even know what fear is and since topic starter didn't tell me I guess I can keep with my bs here.
I'm afraid of forgetting things. I don't mean stuff like locking the door when going out or that sort of common things. I mean memories, losing my precious memories, forgetting memories that used to be important for me.
Sounds silly doesn't it. But I find it kinda sad and scary too. Yea yea, I know it is normal. I know it is part of being human and growing up, but still. You ll say that make/get new memories. But that is not it. But that is not it. My new ones aren't good enough to replace the old ones but they still do it.. And now I forgot what else I wanted to say about this.

I love Thunderstorms!!! especially at night. I can sleep through them, especially listening to the roaring wind when it's a severe thunderstorm. Something about the wind and thunder that I enjoy so much. During the summer when a big storm hits the area, I open my bedroom window just to listen to it pass by, but sometimes I have to close the windows if rain starts coming in. There was, however, one particular lightning strike that scared the hell out of me when I was a little kid. The lightning bolt had to have struck right above my bedroom because it was the loudest sound I had ever heard, like a crash. I was in a deep sleep in the middle of the night and when I heard that, I jumped out of bed, switched the light on, heart pounding. It took me awhile to calm down. I swear, that was the loudest thing i ever heard, our satellite dish was knocked out by it. In our Native culture, it's said that the thunderstorm is in fact, a Thunderbird passing by. The Thunderbirds are the storms that come and go, among the most powerful spirits that watch over the land. In the olden days, during a severe storm, it was said that one should take a shotgun and fire a round into the sky to scare the Thunderbirds higher up so the storm wouldn't be as strong.

1. Falling Commonly mistaken as a fear of heights. I can't so much as get on a small stool or stepladder without freaking out.
2. Crowds I'm actually fighting this one with all I've got. See, crowds to me aren't so much scary or judgmental -- but I get claustrophobic and just don't want to get trampled by the hoard of buffalo. Yes, to me, they're not people anymore when they're grouped up like so -- they're animals.

Being visited by hostile aliens while I'm asleep and finding myself paralyzed and unable to stop them. If they come for me, they better watch out, because I'll pound their heads in. I can't really watch alien visitation movies such as Communion and Fire in the Sky too much, as I can never sleep after watching them.

1. Rejection 2. Losing friends 3. Forgetting my path 4. Death 5. Failure 6. Tornadoes 7. Betrayal 8. Being alone. (I hate and fear that more than anything else.I find myself at my best around friends and family, and without that, I feel so terribly useless.)
and finally...Being unable to help someone dear to me in their time of need. I can't help but feel worthless then, and it is something I fear the most, due to my nature.

Life Trek II: The Wrath of Wife.
That's pretty much it I think. Oh and when sweet ants managed to one day raid our pantry and I only noticed when I um... ate a few that were foraging a snack I had just grabbed from the pantry. Yeah, that pretty much did it. : 0

On the bright side, it's protein. I just hope they were covered in chocolate -- I can only imagine how disgusting that must've been.

Thunderstorm. That is probably the thing I'm most afraid of nowadays. [clip] I love Thunderstorms!!! especially at night. [clip] I do find thunderstorms quite beautiful and fasicanting. But I just can't enjoy them when I'm at home. The constant fear of lightning striking near and setting home on fire is just too much. That is the thing I'm afraid of, the idea of standing outside in rain while watching my home burn to the ground. We have been lucky so far (if it can be really considered lucky) but I'd rather not see just how many storms ll it take before the worst happens.

My fear? Failing to protect my loved ones, honestly my only fear, nothing else scares me.

I used to be convinced that a vampire lived outside my bedroom window when I was six or seven. That was pretty cool.

The only thing to fear is fear itself. True with me. Typically the concept of cowardice enrages me enough I have to act against it. Hence my capacity for embarrassing myself . I've actually crushed spiders with my bare hands just to prove they don't scare me. . . which is saying a lot. . . because they FUCKING SCARE ME! So I guess that's my answer: spidersI also hate millipedes and other creepy crawlers with too many legs, but spiders especially make me unnaturally creeped out.

Yeah, anything with a ton of legs is pretty gross. I thought insects were cool to watch on documentaries when I was growing up, but there's a difference between watching it on a tv screen and seeing it crawl around right in front of you.
