Anybody heard about this? www.codemasters.com/rfonline/rfonline.jp/rfonline.x2game.com/How come I never heard about this!!? Have I been forsaken!!!? *in Darth Vader voice* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ehem Anyway I was gonna download the client for the Korean version but I got problems on the registration process (language barrier). I also checked out the Japanese site, but their download application or something whatever you call it somehow doesn't work for me for some reason. I guess this means I gotta wait for the Q1 2006 release T_T

It's a new MMORPG that I think is made in Korea. It's also in Japan, Taiwan, and is coming to USA and UK early next year. It kinda looks like a hybrid of Xenosaga and Phantasy Star. And yeah it's anime style. Looks like it's goodbye Ragnarok, PSO, and FFXI.... BTW, you could also pilot mechs^^ And here are some pics

Doesn't look fun to me. But then again, I'm not a fan of online games. That's in Chinese, by the way.

With anime-style PC games being scarce, I can't help but either import (*cough*OiF*cough*) or wait for something like this to happen....
It's either this or the upcoming Phantasy Star Universe^^

Man, sure does look cool. Unfortunately I have too many unfinished games and do not see myself ever having the time to get into online games.

I'd hold out for Phantasy Star Universe. Looks a LOT better, IMHO. This one looks too... mechy. I like futuristic stuff... but not mechs. I hate mechs. I liked Xenosaga Episode I because you could basically AVOID the mechs if you wanted to. And I did! I never, ever used them, unless I absolutely had to. -Tom There are 3 classes - the dudes that do magics, the dudes that use mechs, and the dudes that are.... kinda cyborg/robotic-ish. I think it was Sega that distributed this in Japan.... which was strange.... or maybe not.... or at least, marketingwise, PSU and RF Online will be working together.... I think^^

If you get to play it, and have time to post a review, I would definitely be interested in hearing about it.

And BTW, I don't know if you guys knew bout this but: 3 Races in RF Online >Accretia - A race of cyborgs. While they do not have any affinity for magic, their mechanical bodies allow them to perform feats of superhuman strength. The special modifications their specialist class can equip make each Accretia warrior the equivalent of a small army. >Bellato - Resourceful and versatile, they make creative use of both science and magic to advance their purposes. Their specialist class can create, repair and pilot suits of mechanical armor. >Cora - The race of the ‘Ancients’. They shun technology, and instead rely on the forces of nature and magic. Their specialist class can summon Animus (spirit guardians) to protect and assist them in combat. I'll definitely go Bellato^^

Do you know if there's any PVP? This game looks amazing, by the way.

Looks kinda neat, but think I'll pass. Too many online games to choose from and my lack of understanding foreign languages kinda takes away my interest

I heard there is indeed a pvp feature.
And Slayne, English version is coming early next year for US & UK
While those politically corrupt Filipino bastards are so lucky to get their English version around October
My problem is (or is that "problems are"?), I'm still playing FFXI despite how boring it was. I still play Phantasy Star Online and Ragnarok when I want to get back to sanity.
And yeah, Phantasy Star Universe is coming early next year as well.... which marks the death of the current Phantasy Star Online.
But whoops!!! Ragnarok Online 2 is either later this year or early next year!!! Even better is that it's gonna be in full 3D!!!
Damn.... so many choices.
So which one tho choose? First of all, I want a fun gameplay (Phantasy Star Online's battle system rocks). Second, I want lots of people playing (Ragnarok still amazes me)
Hmmmmmmmmm....
Ragnarok's popularity may guarantee a really big population. But never forget about Phantasy Star Universe's fan hype. RF Online.... it's popular in the countries it is currently released on so who knows? This could be the next big thing....
Wonder what Square-Enix is gonna do....

Never got into RO outside of the original beta I did with friends, when it was nice and quiet Didn't try PSO either, since originally I wasn't using consoles for online playing. Was addicted to EQ, CoH, FFXI and later WoW. Those have been sufficient to keep me busy. Though right now, I'm playing nothing.

Offical Web Site is up www.codemasters.com/rfonline/news.phpLooks like there will be a lot of focus on PvP in this game. In fact, it is Race vs Race vs Race as the Accretian, Cora, and Bellato players will have to fight to get the benefits of being the superior race. I think a "war" is held every 8 hours. Sounds interesting.... Oh don't don't forget to check out the videos in their download section to see some flashy in-game demonstration.
