I actually already posted elsewhere on this forum before noticing that I was supposed to introduce myself here first so uh... sue me? (Not really, I don't have any money)
Anyways, I'm relatively new to the Ys series. I started back in the day playing Ys III for the SNES. Prior to last week I had never played another Ys game aside from it, and I have to admit that I was a little discouraged to discover that the previous titles in the series weren't side-scrollers. Despite my hesitation, I trudged forward anyway to discover that my fears were unfounded, and Ys I was one of the best RPGs I've played pretty much ever (just started on Ys II yesterday).
That's it for my Ys experience. Aside from that I'm also an avid fan of many other game series' including, but not limited to: Resident Evil, Final Fantasy >10, Diablo, Every sequel Nintendo ever makes (shamelessly), pretty much every game Bioware releases (KotOR to Mass Effect), and Metal Gear and just about every other game with similar stealth mechanics.
