XSEED (by way of the fan translation), not Steam, that's just the distribution method. But yes, it's awesome and now that they've done Felghana and Origin there's a couple other eXellent gAmes Needing A wiDer distribUtion that we're hoping they could be thinking of releasing NEXT.
Welcome.

Yotaka, did XSEED entirely use the fan translation, then? If so then that's bloody brilliant for everyone involved, if nobody minds my saying. And hopefully this will open up the avenue for many more Falcom translations coming through over Steam.

I bought this and Q.U.B.E on Friday, though haven't gotten to Ys Origin or copying my old JP files over. What amuses me to no end is the fact that despite having played through Ys Origin so many times, I have yet to complete a run through in English.

And hopefully this will open up the avenue for many more Falcom translations coming through over Steam. We used Deuce's fan-translations for Felghana, Chronicles and Origin alike -- though in all three cases, the script underwent heavy editing before it was finalized for use in the game (to account for contextual errors and mistranslations, as well as keep a more consistent tone during certain scenes), so if you were to compare the script we used with Deuce's original work, you'd find them to be fairly significantly different (though still recognizably of the same origin). -Tom Ah cool, cheers. Well great to see Deuce's work recognised, for sure.
