I'm basically playing through the game right now. I'm just about to start Chp. 2 today and I'm at 29 hrs already?! No joke. Even though this game basically had me by the balls since the the start of Chp. 1 and just never wanted to let me go to do mandatory daily life things, like using the washroom and eating to fix that rumbling in my tummy. I just can't stop playing this game for the life of me! Yet though I really do want to move the mad interesting story forward as fast as possible, at the same time I can't resist to take it easy with all the side-quests I can do & enjoy talking to everybody I can + yet again when their dialog changes due to advancing the story line. And even though I'm swimming in text reading, I'm absolute not sick of it even in the slightest. This game is so freakin' interesting & awesome to me!! Falcom's attention to detail & common sense game design wise is unbelievable. This company can do no wrong! Now I'm wondering if because I took a pretty long RPG break gaming wise made me a little blind to the fact of how good this game is? Why I'm asking others on their thoughts on this? ONLY WITH NO SPOILERS OR SPOILER TAGS, PLEASE. ... pity this game didn't sell well for XSEED.

IMO I believe selling any video games on the American PSP base is a uphill battle. I am sure the game did good, but for the resource required just wasn't all that profitiable. *Note, I never bother finishing LOH6 when it first came out in Japan, and after finishing it, I immediately opened my copy of Trails 2 and finish it in the span of 5 days after. And added almost most of Trails 2 wiki info in Floofy site. www.esterior.net/wiki/index.php5?title=Sora_no_Kiseki_SC

No shit! It's what I feel like doing too to Trails two if it were in my hands and in English right now. That first game's ending (after 95 hours for me) leads me to believe that the second game is gonna blow me away even more. I really want to play the second game so much now. My hopes for it are through the roof, no way around it, and I simply cannot wait. But yeah, to answer my own question here. YES! Trails is a must play RPG, without a doubt. Anyone that says otherwise must just not be in the mood for it at the moment? (And yes, this does happen more often then not)

I've spoken out against FC a couple of times. But I still say it is a must play RPG... because you must play it to fully appreciate SC and SC is actually a must play RPG.
Also.. 95 hours? <_<

I seem to recall Wyrd saying he's managed to sink 70 hours into FC, although some of that might have been for testing purposes, can't recall. The Crossbell games now, dear god do those take ages if you want to do something insane like, oh, chat up every NPC after every dialogue-altering event. Y'know, just in case you want to know where everyone in Crossbell is at all times, don't want to miss the sub-events and so on. And I'm going to echo shlagwerk here. This game isn't the best in the series but it's still a really good game on its own and its sequel is a Must Play if you're at all interested in the genre so by extension, the first game is also a must play. SC cuts you absolutely no slack here. Of course, this being a Falcom fan board your odds of getting an answer other than 'yes' were pretty low to begin with but it wouldn't have changed the answer at all.

Aside from people reasoning "It's not on PC, so I'm not gonna play it" I was your best shot at a negative answer... about anything, really.
