But even if you do win, you still have to be pretty smart about it. We have a lottery system here where I live in Georgia, and I've read many stories of how winning the lottery doesn't necessarily make your life any easier. You would think it would, but then you often have family, friends, and neighbors approach you out of the woodwork, not to mention perfect strangers who just happened to look you up because your name and picture is posted holding the check. : 0
If I ever did win something like this, the first thing I would do is hire a financial planner and instead of never working for the rest of my life, I think I'd open a business. : )
