It won't happen, but just in case: A quote from a certain forum: Are you all Australians? The Rapture will adhere to time zones! The day's not over! Then again, if you're still here, it doesn't mean the Rapture never happened, just means you aren't going to Heaven. I guess those of us still here reading the forums pissed God off. Just substitute rapture with end of the world. 8) I personally think we'll all live.

Yeah, we'll live through today. Some of us, anyway, depending on what's in an 'Apocalypse' cocktail. I think I will hit the bar tonight. Maybe the whole 12/21/12 thing will give someone an excuse to hang out with me.

YOU FOOL! DON'T YOU KNOW THAT THE MAYANS WANTED PEOPLE TO GET DRUNK TODAY, SO THAT THERE WOULD BE A LOT OF DRUNK DRIVERS ON THE ROAD?* MY. GOD. *This is called tongue-in-cheek humor.

Read a talk from the scientist who original wrote the paper on the Mayan calender cycle ending today. He said that nowhere do the Mayans mention an end of the world or apocalypse in reference to their calender cycle ending.
Everyone knows the world ends tomorrow (12/22) because nobody will be expecting it

Plus, where are all these survivalists getting their faith from, have the Mayan's been a reputable source of any kind of prophecies. Ofcoarse, the Bible does say the world will end "like a theif in the night" so....but then, just the fact that you say it'll be the 22nd makes it not happen, since that is now in expectation! I do believe this world won't last forever, even if it's by man's own hands with pollution & war, if not by a creator who's just plain tired of all the pollution & war. If there's no God or god's or goddesses etc., then we'll certainly nuke ourselves one of these days.

AFAIK the misinterpretation of the calender was started off by hippies. Not kidding. Then further supported by Hollywood, History Channel and other retarded stuff.
Then one thing led to another, and so the myth was born, like any other myth: a warping of facts. Or as I prefer to call it, a warping of data.
Plus Link's Awakening himself posted a video here before of an actual Mayan saying there's nothing like so and that it'd be a day like any other.
The alignment of planets was complete bullshit, too, there was no such alignment today, and even then I think nothing would have happened. Astrologists confirmed the former at least. Maybe the latter too, but I don't recall it very well.
The misinterpretation of the calender also totally went against actual ancient Mayan... either culture, teachings or beliefs, according to actual Mayan scholars.
Plus end of humanity = NOT end of the world, as many don't understand. But either would be BS anyway, in this case.
People should keep their feet on the ground and be realistic, focusing to do what they can do, not what they don't know about. Naturally, never losing good sense.
