For nearly the past two years, I've been working on and off of a tool-assisted speedrun (TAS - see TASVideos for general info about what these are) for MotS:

Also, here's a link to the actual movie input file, which was recorded on Snes9x 1.52 (you're on your own for the ROM and emulator). Honestly, this is probably the better option to view this, if you're up to it (the YouTube encode seems to play at 30 FPS, even though it was captured at 60 FPS - not to mention, the YouTube version has a slight audio desync, but I hope it's corrected well enough):

As of right now, this is only a testrun, but since I'm not quite sure I want to go through with a fully optimized run, I put a good amount of effort into this (if I do go for a fully optimized movie, it'll probably take quite some time yet, but I wanted to have something nice to show for it in the event it doesn't work out). That said, this movie is still unoptimized, with one outright mistake (but hey, that's why it's a testrun - the mistake in question is grabbing but never using the Roda Medicine, which I thought would be necessary to perform the Minea Plains boss skip). I'm too lazy to repeat the rest of the known improvements (or repeat the glitches/tricks used), so I'll just link to the TASVideos game topic if you want to read up on that:

Also, with regards to the time, note that 1:23:43 is the point that the last text box was cleared to fully reveal the ending sequence (how TASVideos would time it, I believe); the time of Eldeel's death would've been 1:13:37 in-game time.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the run!
