Hi! Like the title says, I'm another refugee from XSEED's hacked forums, checking in here. I know... five or six of you guys already, I think? Maybe more if you used different handles over there. Anyway, it's been over a month and the forums still aren't back up, and I needed to get my fix of Falcom discussion somewhere.
So, yeah, hi to everyone. I've been an Ys fan since... 1993, when I played Wanderers from Ys on the SNES (and liked it, I know, okay, I'm weird). And I wanted to see how the series continued, but I didn't know a lick of Japanese back then and I wasn't much into the fan translation scene, so it kind of fell off my radar until XSEED began releasing the games commercially, and then I started checking up on all the ones I'd missed.
I like overanalyzing small details of games. I am occasionally prone to dyslexic rambling and weird spelling quirks, but I'm told I'm mostly understandable. Despite my absurd and sometimes flamboyant behavior in public, I am actually shy and do not bite unless cornered or asked politely.
Also, just a question before I post anything else-- is there some general timeframe past which it's considered a Massive Social Blunder to necro a thread here, if you wanted to mention or ask something that no one else previously had? I've been in places that had a 100% necroing-okay policy at all times and then in some other places where you got looked at funny, at best, if you replied to anything more than two weeks old. It seems to correlate with the general size of forums, in a lot of cases, but I've definitely seen exceptions, so just wanted to know if there were specific expectations around that.
(Oh yeah, and for the few of you this will make sense to, I did back up all the caption screenshots. So if you were wondering about those, don't worry, they still exist! There are actually some I never got around to posting-- like the, erm, epic climax of Ark of Napishtim. If anyone wants the old ones I could stuff them in a zip file, because it would be a bit time-consuming to repost the individual ones all over again, unless people would REALLY REALLY prefer that.)
