All because I was lazy
All because I was lazy
ParanoiaDragon: Anyone know where Gamemusicfreak has been? Maybe out of town? I feel like I recall him being gone for awhile last summer as well, unless I'm thinking of someone else... Sep 3, 2015 at 1:52am x
MP83: I know where he is, but I won't tell where exactly. He can say that himself, once he returns. He is alive and well, though. Sep 3, 2015 at 9:35pm x
SkyeWelse: MP83, everyone knows that GMF has the ability to visit the worlds of video games, much like Captain N: The Gamemaster. It's not really a secret. Sep 3, 2015 at 9:40pm x
ParanoiaDragon: Cool, as long as he's alright! I sent him a song I worked on about a month ago, but he hasn't been on in over a month. I'll assume he's on a long vacation(long for me anyways, my vacations are at the most 4 days long!). Sep 4, 2015 at 12:26am x
Unsavory: Okay. I finally beat Celceta. THOSE CREDITS!!! Sep 4, 2015 at 7:58am x
Gamemusicfreak: Shoot! Sorry PD! I've been out of the country the last two weeks (flying back tomorrow). The last two months I've been working close to or above 50 hours a week, between my job and helping a coworker with his landscaping biz. Just didn't visit ALoY. Sep 10, 2015 at 11:23pm x
Gamemusicfreak: Also I got a mount! Sep 10, 2015 at 11:36pm x
ParanoiaDragon: No worries, just glad yer alright! Man, 50 hours. I'd drop! I'd need coffee o' plenty, & then at the end of the 2 months, my body would fall apart into dust. Sep 11, 2015 at 1:47am x
SkyeWelse: That's awesome! Congratulations on your mount GMF! Now you can get around town with style! Welcome back. Sep 11, 2015 at 10:18am x
Gamemusicfreak: Thanks SkyeWelse! Tomorrow it's back to work. Sep 14, 2015 at 1:01am x
Gamemusicfreak: Wow, they left my dairy in such a mess while I was gone. Took forever to get it in decent shape. Sep 14, 2015 at 4:28pm x
MP83: Welcome back, Gamemusicfreak! Sep 17, 2015 at 9:03pm x
MP83: Jumping puzzles in Guild Wars 2 are fun! Sep 17, 2015 at 9:03pm x
Unsavory: I thought I'd check out another Vita game, but I'm currently suspended in an Adol-only boss rush. I don't want to give up yet. I'm at that mean plant dude spewing toxin. My flashguard and flashmove skills are lacking here, and he keeps healing. XD Ahhh! Sep 19, 2015 at 8:11pm x
Unsavory: ...Or maybe another 3DS game. I'm hoping for a title that does *not* use and require shoulder buttons. My ideas? Xeodrifter, Gunman Clive, Legend of Dark Witch, Witch and Hero, or anything cheap ($10<) /fast paced/explore/run n' gun/combo attack variety. Sep 20, 2015 at 11:37am x
SkyeWelse: I can recommend all of those titles, having play through all of them except Legend of Dark Witch (only the first stage or so with that). Xeodrifter is intense for the boss fights and may require shoulder buttons, can't remember. Sep 20, 2015 at 6:45pm x
SkyeWelse: The others are pretty simple control schemes, especially Witch and Hero which I loved. You might also check out Fairune, that one was great. Sep 20, 2015 at 6:50pm x
Unsavory: Fairune was pretty interesting. Re: Witch and Hero, the stages seem mostly the same so far. Legend of Dark Witch makes me think of a knockoff Megaman-Gradius lovechild. I'll try the Xeodrifter demo on the Vita. Might increase my budget to $20. Sep 21, 2015 at 10:00am x
Unsavory: I have the Megaman Collection on the GCN, but I'm also considering the Complete Works versions. Gunman Clive looks to be of decent quality. I want something that won't grow stale too quickly and can keep me occupied over many bus rides. Sep 21, 2015 at 10:05am x
Wyrdwad: Have you played Shantae and the Pirate's Curse? I can't recall if it uses L and R to any great extent, but it's a pretty cool game. Seems like it fits in with the others you've named, and would keep you occupied for a pretty good amount of time. Sep 21, 2015 at 6:55pm x
Unsavory: I *love* that game! My shoulder buttons died before the NG+, and now I can't Dash/Stab/Float. I'm hoping electronic cleaning putty does the trick. I'd rather be $10 short (without opening/wrecking the system) and have it work, than spend another $200. Sep 21, 2015 at 7:12pm * x
ParanoiaDragon: Xeodrifter is pretty cool. I beat it last week. It could use more variety with the enemies, including the bosses. Sep 22, 2015 at 1:28am x
Unsavory: I went with Xeodrifter, since it has a safety cushion; it's $5, and I got the Wii U version for free. I think I'll pick from Virtual Console next time; one of the Donkey Kong Land games or something. Sep 22, 2015 at 7:24am x
Unsavory: Xeodrifter is pretty awesome! Definitely a good buy! Sep 23, 2015 at 6:52am x
SkyeWelse: It is really fun, but then it's also really, really short too. That's really my only complaint with it. Sep 24, 2015 at 7:54am x
Unsavory: Looks like my R button (phase) worked out for the finale! I second that it needed to be longer. I think I'll finish Mighty Switch Force 2 next. Sep 24, 2015 at 7:40pm x
Wyrdwad: Had this linked to me a bit ago, and thought I'd share -- it's pretty amazing how well-made it is. If you're a fan of Sorcerian at all, it's a must-watch. www.youtube.com/watch?v=seF45H2eah4 Sep 26, 2015 at 11:02pm x
SkyeWelse: Wow, that is pretty amazing! They did a great job with that. So much better than my crappy Xanadu animation I made! Sep 27, 2015 at 12:44am x
Wyrdwad: Crappy Xanadu animation?! I wanna see, I wanna see! Sep 27, 2015 at 12:56am x
SkyeWelse: Wyrd, I sent you a PM containing a link to it. Sep 27, 2015 at 11:27pm x
Unsavory: Taking time off. Infection took out my left hand for a week, single-handedly. Sep 29, 2015 at 11:47am x
SkyeWelse: Sorry to hear about your hand Unsavory. I sure hope it wasn't this bad of an infection at least. Sep 29, 2015 at 8:32pm x
Unsavory: XD I did think of that, in jest. It's just the thumb, although the pain did spread. They had to slice it open and stuff it with a wick to make it drain and heal from the inside. I get to take that out in a few hours. Sep 30, 2015 at 7:46am * x
SkyeWelse: Yikes man. Well here's hoping for a full recovery! Sep 30, 2015 at 10:50am x
Unsavory: Thanks, I hope so too. They've already slit it twice, and I'm kinda over it. Sep 30, 2015 at 5:54pm x
MP83: I know where he is, but I won't tell where exactly. He can say that himself, once he returns. He is alive and well, though. Sep 3, 2015 at 9:35pm x
