Hi all of you! I have seen this forum for sometime but I didn't register until now, and I have to say that this place is amazing! I love Ys so much and my first impression of the site was like "omg look those icons!" .
I have been playing Falcom Games since 2012 (yeah I know is not that much time) but I really love those people and their games, the first game I played from Falcom was Ys I and II Chronicles for the PSP and I just fall in love with them, the music, story, characters, everything. I have played all Ys games in terms of chronology and the remakes (I, II, Oath in Felghana, Memories of Celceta, Ark, Origin, Seven) and Ys V too but this one just the SNES version.
Ys was the first franchise of Falcom I played, then I got Trails in the Sky and man, the love I have for that franchise is just so much.
Just to end this, beautiful forum! And I love JRPG's in general. Thanks for reading!

Welcome to the forums XbladeCK! It's always great to see newcomers to the Ys series and Falcom games in general. They make a ton of great games, so I'm sure you'll find us recommending quite a few of them. Falcom really is the undisputed Master of Rpgs in general. They've done it all, and they've really refined the RPG (J-RPG) experience over the years.
If you like Ys, you might like Gurumin which was released several years ago on PSP and just a few days ago on Steam /GoG. There is also a PSP game called Nayuta no Kiseki, which is a spinoff on the Trails series which is a fantastic Action RPG as well. A romhacking / translation group that I'm a part of recently worked on that one for PSP to make an English patch for it. It's a lot of fun!
And of course, definitely check out Brandish: The Dark Revenant as well. It's one of my top ten favorite games of all time. It may take a bit to get "adjusted" to the game mechanics, but once you learn them it's really an incredible treat that I wish had never ended.

Oh thanks for those words SkyeWelse! I definitely agree with you in everything you say about Falcom, they are so amazing! I already played Gurumin last year in the PSP it was amazing! Maybe is short in terms of lenght but wow what a game, I love it! I already played Nayuta No Kiseki too! I didn't know there was an english patch for it , one of the best ARPG for the PSP definitely, and I still haven't played those extra levels in a New Game +! Brandish...man, that game...I am at the last level in Ares Mode and what can I say, beautiful and amazing game! I got it in day one in the PSN and man, is really worth every dollar, those bosses, the music, man everything is so good and amazing -XbladeCK

Ah so you've already discovered those. You're definitely making your progress through the Falcom lineup then! Once you finish Brandish: TDR, you'll unlock EX MODE. This mode takes everything you know about Brandish and asks that you try and outsmart the Game Developers with all new challenge levels. It's really well done and completely worth playing through. It's only 10 floors, it shouldn't take you too long.... or will it? : )

Brandish: TDR is so good, I wanted to import it or get it on the Jap PSN but then the localization was announced and I was like "OH YES!" lol I will definitely try that EX MODE you are talking...and Dela Mode too! And yes! To be honest I really want to play all Falcom games that I can get, and if I cannot, then I just read about them and know they exist, for example, knowing the Dragonslayer Series (Xanadu, Romancia, Drasle Family, Sorcerian and etc). The more I play Falcom games, the more I love Falcom, just beautiful games. And this year we are getting Tokyo Xanadu, Sora No Kiseki FC Evolution and the New Ys! And honestly, I can't wait anymore for those games! -XbladeCK

Definitely check out Xanadu. It's a tough game, but a true classic experience that offered RPG game mechanics there were really ahead of it's time. : )
