Hello!
I'm a fairly recent Falcom fan, the first game I played was Trails in the Sky when it was released on PC last year. I had already bought the PSP version some years ago but never played it (my videogame backlog is huuuuge). Anyway, I fell in love with the game and that pushed me to try Ys Origin and absolutely loved this one too! I even double dipped and bought a box copy during a trip to Japan. :-D
Since then, I have played Ys I & II and Brandish. Let's just say they consolidated my love for Falcom. Their games really have a mesmerizing atmosphere, partly thanks to the fantastic music. And I'm currently playing the amazing Trails in the Sky SC.
My other interests mostly encompass video games and anime (Mushishi being my favorite, that's where I got my nickname and avatar). IRL, I'm a programmer living in France and casually try to learn Japanese. That may be useful if XSeed doesn't release the missing LoH in English... when I'm proficient enough... in 15 years...
Well, that's it for the presentation. See you later I guess!

Welcome Ginko! I hope you're enjoying SC, I have been meaning to play it myself but haven't found the time. Speaking of the fantastic music in Falcom games, if you haven't found it already there's an unofficial Falcom Music Channel run by another ALoY member, jdkluv. It's awesome that you managed to get Trails off your backlog and then continued with the rest of Falcom. Though I am a little surprised you managed to get to Brandish, most people haven't tried it before they come to ALoY. I'm also quite new to Falcom so I have only played LoH and Ys games but I've been told Brandish is great once you get accustomed to the game mechanics. Speaking of learning Japanese in case of no English release, I'm part of a romhacking/translation group that recently released an English patch for Nayuta no Kiseki, so you might be able to count on us in case XSeed doesn't deliver. If you ever interested in helping out we're over at www.heroesoflegend.org/. I'm a programmer over there so I don't help translate though I've been learning on and off. PS: Nice signature. Hopefully SERN isn't after you.

Thanks! Speaking of the fantastic music in Falcom games, if you haven't found it already there's an unofficial Falcom Music Channel run by another ALoY member, jdkluv. I already discovered this channel while searching for Falcom music on YT. It's very well-supplied Though I am a little surprised you managed to get to Brandish, most people haven't tried it before they come to ALoY. I've been checking all XSeed releases ever since I started playing Trails and Brandish being a Falcom game, it caught my attention. It was very good, I'm not particularly a fan of dungeon crawlers but exploring each floor in this game was a lot of fun. The fact that they are not randomly generated is probably why the exploration is so interesting. It feels a bit old school but that's not a bad thing in my opinion and I didn't have any problem adapting to the game mechanics. I've only finished the main mode though. Can't wait to complete the Dela mode (probably once I'm done with Oreshika). It's supposed to be a lot tougher and very fun haha. I'm not sure I have what it takes to belong to such a group but I'll be sure to check the forums! PS: It looks like I'm good for now but one can never let his guard down!

Welcome to the forum, Ginko. Glad to see another new Falcom fan. I still need to finish the first two Trails games. One of these days!
Also happy to see you gave Brandish a spin. Dela Mode is fantastic btw!

Thanks Trails games are quite huge and require a bit of investment so it can be hard to squeeze them into your timetable. Ys games and Brandish were easier in that aspect. And I definitely have to try Dela mode now
