I'm a longtime gamer and became a big Ys fan a few years ago, after the English PC release of Ys: the Oath in Felghana. That game really impressed me, and then soon after I played Ys Origin...which was even better and almost left Oath in the dust.
Also a musician, and Falcom music is definitely a thing that I have taken a liking to.
I actually played my first Ys game many years ago, Ys 1 on the NES, but it was sort of a lackluster experience and I didn't really get anywhere with it. I do remember the soundtrack all too well though, including the fact that the shop theme is different from the normal Ys 1 shop theme for some reason that I still haven't figured out.
These days I have a bad habit of playing games very slowly. Despite getting myself really hyped up about the English PC releases of the Trails in the Sky games, I've only played...the first two chapters of the first game. Despite buying it on release (one of the few times I've ever done that for a game). (Part of the reason I play games very slowly is because I waste too much time on message boards on the internet. Heh.)
