Or ohayou, or konnichiwa, depending on when you read this. I suppose to introduce myself, I'll tell you that Ys is my favorite RPG series of all time, followed by Fallout and Seiken Densetsu in tier 2. I'm not sure if it's the simplicity (or complexity, depending on how you think) of the story, or the music, or the fact that I had access to a TurboDuo as a kid, but it captivates me. Every few years the game pops up again and takes hold of me, and with the rere|..|rererelease of Ys Books 1 & 2 on PS2, I got the spirit in me again. I went out and got the super box set with the diorama, and I got the Ys Perfect Data book, complete with walkthroughs for 1-6, and even a complete dialogue record!
But, now I've gone off rambling.
I'm a nut for this crap, can't get enough. I've got a nice Ys keychain that I keep on my wallet at all times, I've got the anime, all that stuff. I found this forum and saw that you guys are just as into it as I am. I'm glad to have come across the place.

I usually spell it "Ohayoo" , "Konnichi wa" and "Konban wa". I never spell it "ohayou" or "Konbanwa" because it doesn't feel right.

I paid something around 4500 yen for my Ys Eternal LE. Sooo worth it. It even has the crater and floating island that detatches!
Oh, and as far as my Japanese, yeah I hope I'd be spelling it right, even if it is only romaji. I'm a Japanese major, though I'm not really that far along in my studies. I'm having to switch schools because I'm the only person at my college who is interested in the 3rd semester of Japanese, and they don't start a class unless there are at least 3 people signed up for the class.

I'm jealous of your collection. Good to meet you, Lank. If you ever spot any more of those Ys keychains, let me know, alright?
