I doubt it will be released here. It's $30 on Play Asia and it's SO WORTH IT. Plus, almost every game on this disc has an English version.
Here's which versions are on here:
Wonder Boy: Arcade (System 1), Mark III, Game Gear, Game Gear US, SG-1000 Wonder Boy in Monster Land: Arcade (System 2), Mark III Monster Lair: Arcade (System 16), Mega Drive Monster World II: Game Gear, Game Gear US, Master System Monster World III: Mega Drive, Genesis, Master System Monster World IV: Mega Drive
Game Gear US, Genesis and Master System versions are the ones in English.. Wonder Boy and Monster Lair don't have text, so it's not important there. Basically you've got Monster Land and Monster World IV in Japanese only.. both of which are pretty easy to play in Japan. I know Monster Land has a boss that quizzes you where you're supposed to get a clue to the answer from the barman.. but if you answer wrong you just have to fight him, no big deal. I can't remember anything like that in Monster World IV.
All games have great video options, 240p, 480i and 480p modes.. with on/off filtering options (FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE TURN IT OFF). For the sharpest picture possible, 240p with filtering off is suggested. 480i with filtering off and deflicker off is sharp but has a bit of stutter to it.
All arcade games have high score saving, Master System games have a suspend feature to eliminate the need for password use.
I'm guessing the PC-Engine games (sans Bikkuriman World) might be hidden on it somewhere. The CD is about 300MB and when you consider that all the ROMs combined *might* break the 20MB barrier.. there's something taking up some space, which could be CD audio for Dynastic Hero.. just a hunch. Unless those image scans are just massive in uncompressed size.

Oh, here's the score for my first time playing WBML on the PS2: pixyjunket.aorange.com/userpics/random/wbml01.jpgPretty good, I guess. My top on my old arcade cabinet was over 2,000,000 I believe. I just really screwed up on the last level here.. I forgot the maze, took a lot of time hits and made it to the last boss with only two hearts.

I just got it and love all the resolution option modes. Two games I wish they put on here is Dynastic Hero (Turbo Duo) and Monster lair (Turbo Duo). Maybe there hidden on there as unlockables but I kinda doubt it cause both games red book audio will take up more space than what the CD's TOC is. Still this is an awesome collection.

Two CDs of redbook can be compressed down to about 100MB or less using the PS2's streaming audio system.. though the honest truth is that both games soundtracks could be very accurately reproduced using the PS2 sequencer.
There's a "secrets" section on the official Sega Ages site that's not open yet.. given that all the region variants are opened from the start.. it's still possible they could be there. At the very least I'm hoping for the PC-Engine Monster World II (Adventure Island/Dragon's Curse), I forgot how choppy the scrolling was in the Master System version.
I'm almost lamenting not getting the deluxe package.. but as it was going to be $40 extra (that's more than the game itself was) I couldn't justify it. I probably would have listened to the CD once and that's it anyway.. so.. maybe not so much lament.

I know the XBOX does a good job of compressing audio but I thought the PS2 wasnt great at doing that. Still your right, there could be some unlockable games which there should be or the Complete in the title is misleading.
Someone in the hardcore gaming forums brought up a good point though about the missing TG versions in this collection. They are Hudson ports and this is a Sega compilation.
