I'm pulling this out of the closet for my yearly Saturn phase. The guys are coming over tonight for the weekend beer and video game night and I felt it would be awesome to have some four player Dungeons and Dragons time (Actually, I don't remember if it supported four players.. I better check).
Also, I figured I should try to go all the way through Madou Monogatari finally (I love those games) and of course, Princess Knight.
What are you favorite Saturn games?

Magic Knight Rayearth is my favorite Saturn game. It is also one of my favorite games altogether. Just thinking about it makes me happy. I tried to watch the anime because I liked the game so much. Big mistake. Shining the Holy Ark is another one of my favorites. Pretty boring game overall, but the soundtrack keeps me hooked. It's some of the best I've heard. Great graphics too. Falcom Classics 1 & 2 are pretty sweet games. Dragon Slayer and Ys 1-2 are nice to play, too bad these remakes are utter crap. They're like ports, only with better graphics. Still fun to play, though. I enjoyed Shining Wisdom even though: 1) the graphics are crap 2) the soundtrack is crap 3) the controls are crap. The game's a lot of fun to play despite these major flaws. Interesting story too if I remember correctly. There are a couple of other Saturn games I like, but I don't remember which ones at the time. And yeah, I like bad games for some strange reason.

Rayearth is a fun game. I liked the anime way back in the day.. if only because it was more or less a parody of Dragon Quest. With how much anime annoys the hell out of me today, I don't think I'd be able to watch it again though.
I have the Falcom Classics games, the first one is cool for Xanadu, which I actually like.. but yeah, considering the Eternal/Complete releases, they're otherwise kind of useless collections for the Ys games.
Which Saturn Shining game was the "sequel" to Shining in the Darkness?
I remember the Saturn version of Twinkle Star Sprites being pretty awesome until they (sort of) remade the game for the PS2.. though that was still more of a port, it was still nice to have it on a home system at the time.

Shining the Holy Ark is a spiritual sequel to Shining in the Darkness. Shining Wisdom is a rip off of Zelda 3.

Panzer Dragoon Saga is my all time favorite Sega Saturn game. Next would probably go to either Guardian Heroes or Dragon Force. The Saturn was a great system, especially for imports. Never played much of the Shining Force spinoffs and sequels so I can't say much for those, but I've always wanted to try out the Magic Knights Rayearth game as I used to be a big fan of the anime series awhile back.

Dungeons and Dragons is two players only.
Oh well.. I guess that just means more Wario Ware tonight.

Magic Knight Rayearth would be the perfect SkyeWelse game, considering he's a big action-rpg buff. You'd totally love it, I know it! One of the best in the genre, no doubt.

Argh, I curse myself for forgetting Linkle Liver Story. How could I? I love that game so dearly. A spiritual sequel to Soleil, a game that I play through AT LEAST once a year because I can never get enough of it. So wonderful. So perfect. Linkle Liver Story is almost as good.

My favorite Saturn game is the one I'll never play, because Saturns were rich kid toys back then and are double so today =[
Which is sad, because it seems to have some cool stuff on it.

Shining Force 3. All 3 parts of it. No contest.
Honourable mentions go to Panzer Dragoon Saga, NiGHTS, Shining the Holy Ark (shame about the translation) and probably some others I've forgotten. Still a bunch of games I need to play for it too, like Dragon Force.

Linkle Liver is super cute, and it's easy to get for dirt cheap now. It's the kind of game that I doubt I'll ever replay, but it was fun. Same with Steamgear Mash. I had seen it years ago in Gamefan and got really psyched to play it, and it took me, uh, a decade or so to actually do it, but I picked up a used copy at Otakon last year and it was a short game loaded with all the problems one might expect from a first-gen Saturn game, but it was very charming and a good deal of fun. My favorite Saturn game is probably Dragon Force. Asuka 120% Limited rules too, but I've come to enjoy Final on PS1 more, I think. In different ways, I guess. They're both very good.

Shining Force 3 is an awesome game. So much innovation, and a heck of a mature storyline. And StHA is brilliant, too.
I love Panzer Dragoon Zwei and PDS, as well. Classic games, the both of them.
Langrisser 4 and 5 are excellent sRPGs as well, I really enjoy playing them.
Death Tank Zwei is also the ultimate party game. It is unbeatable in that regard.
And I don't like people dissing the Falcom Classics versions of Ys, because they're both ace. That version of Xanadu is also quite cool, although it's pretty hard at times, and a little bit too repetitive. Not like XN <3
And I don't know how you guys can like MKR... Both that and Albert Odyssey got some decent reviews, but when I played them they were just yeuch. Each to their own, though 8)

LMAO! Yes. Including the secret toilet factory level (which had an AMAZING music track!).
Or, the lame way of doing it was just having DN3D and another Lobotomy-produced game save on your system -_- I have Exhumed as well - which I will say now is certainly amongst the best FPSs I've ever played.

Each to their own, though 8) AO was ultra-generic, but not without charm somehow. I had fun until the very end... the boss battles, which were always long and boring, became unbearable. I actually quit just shy of the last boss because I had decided that I just didn't care anymore. Maybe I'll give it another shot one of these days. Though, now, I doubt I'd even make it that far.

I know what you mean. There was something drawing me back every time, but in the end it just couldn't beat how inane the game was, so I stopped.
Oh, also because my Saturn was dying, and it was a gamble whether I could make it to the next save point in time before the graphics went bye-bye.

Akumajo Dracula X: Nocturne of Moonlight
Falcom Classics
Falcom Classics II (I've to buy those two!)
Megaman 8 ---> It's better than the PS version. Have 2 extras bosses and one or two more bonuses
