Grimgrimoire for PS2check out that video and skip to the gameplay part... reminds me of a castleroid or something. anyone have anymore info on this game? is it part of a series? what kind of game is it (looks like an action-RPG to me)? I've never cared for any Nippin Ichi games before, though... they always tend to seem strategy-RPG oriented

Okay. I'm officially giving up on new Japanese games. That video made me nauseous.

was it the voice acting? I don't like it either. Nor do I really like the characters. heh, I didn't think too much into this. The gameplay does seem interested, and it does seem kinda like SotN to me... although, 10 times more boring (still, a lot less boring than most Nippin Ichi games have seemed to me in the past)

It was everything. The characters, the "art", the voices, the obviously generic typical japanese story, ugh - it was terrible. And every game seems to be like this nowadays. Disgusting.

true true... hopefully Duece doesn't see this! Like with all videos, I skip to the gameplay part, so before I posted this I hadn't seen any of that.

Nippon Ichi are just publishing it, Vanillaware are the developers. That's all I know and want to know, really Not interested.

To be honest, I don't know how a real-time strategy like gRimgRiMoiRe is supposed to remind me of Castlevania.

oh, it's a strategy-rpg? Figures... even if Nippon Ichi isn't developing it, it seems they've always got to stick with strategy RPGs even if only producing a game I somehow, from the video, got the idea it was a side-scrolling, 2D, action-adventure game with RPG elements... and is this actually coming out in North America? what's up with SCEA? I thought they had strict rules when it came to 2D games.

I imagine it's because Nippon Ichi has been shown to make money. It's the only explanation I have for the less-than-good Ar Tonelico reaching these shores.

It's just that that's the only type of game from them that gets released outside of Japan, and therefore you don't really hear about anything else. Look on their wiki list, they've made more than most of their fans probably think

What! New games! SUCKS.
Personally, I am interested to see what an RTS/Ogre battle style (I hear both) game by NIS will be like, gameplay-wise. I fear the vile transmigration will carry over to it, though, and it makes me sad.
