Not quite what I was expecting......but it'll be very interesting to see how this turns out. I can't wait for more info. you'll have to click the translation link there, but it doesn't help much... anyone happen to have an english link?

yeah, that's about all I could make out from it too... could be cool, especially if you can control the weapons of different characters, that'd be awesome fun. As long as it doesn't turn out like Virtua Quest, it should be good. There's potential for some great story too, especially with characters like Siegfried and Nightmare. It does kinda seem like Nintendo's being handed the scraps again (and again, Virtua Quest is a previous example of that), but Action-Adventure is my favorite genre so I can't help but look forward to more on it.

I'm excited about this one as well. I hope they release some more information soon. Actually, I'm looking forward to hearing about several of the previously hidden Wii development projects. As of recent articles, Nintendo is in the process of developing over 40 titles for the system. Not all of them will make it, but that's a nice handful of game projects to be working on.

You just can trust the French those translations, so here's one that's already in english. The Wii isn't known just yet for its vast array of 3D fighters. And that's not going to change even with the announcement of Soul Calibur Legends for the system.
First appearing in this week's issue of Famitsu, Legends is described as an action adventure game rather than a fighter. Set in the 16th century, players will be able to meet characters from the Soul Calibur world and experience sword-based combat that makes use of the Wiimote.
Famitsu was able to unveil nothing more than a logo for the game and did not even provide a release date. We presume this means a release is a ways off.wii.ign.com/articles/786/786623p1.htmlno idea about that "Death by Degrees" comment babelfish was babbling about, hopefully this isn't being done by that same team or something as I heard that game was a wreck.

Another sword-based Wii action game? Where are all the flail-based Wii action games?
More important, where's my new Panzer Dragoon Saga game?

That's up to Sega. It might be more likely now, though, with series like Alien Syndrome, Afterburner, and NiGHTS getting updates. But I wouldn't be asking for anything from Sega with the state they're in right now... even NiGHTS looks a bit iffy for a long awaited sequel to an acclaimed game that's been forgotten for over a decade, but that's mostly based off screen shots.
I hope this game doesn't confine you to one (or two) character(s) and one type of weapon. They should be capitalizing the main points of the SC series in this new game, namely the use of multiple kinds of weapons and being able to progress a separate storyline for each character in the game.

more info and some AMAZING artwork!looks like it's gonna have some RPG elements, such as experiance points and leveling up your rank, like in Chronicals of the Sword mode in SCIII. the-magicbox.com also said that Siegfried is the main protagonist but other characters will also be playable. This is sounding better and better with each tidbit... the only thing worrying me is that this is being done by the Tekken/SC team, and their previous action/adventure efforts both missed the mark by a long shot (Death by Degrees and Final Fight Street Wise).

I've been wondering the same thing myself for many years now. Imagine a Panzer Dragoon Saga RPG with control fuctionality (since you had to manualy fly and dodge enemy attacks while waiting for the turn-based attack system to recharge) with the Wii Remote. That would play like a dream if they implemented a unique control system...
But yeah, I think the Soul Calibur Legends sounds promising enough, but I bet there will be a few unhappy fans who wanted to see another 1-on-1 fighting game installation of the series.
