Howdy howdy, people. ^_^ I'm Vert. The schmuck. And, as I'm sure most of you assume, I really like Ys.
Let's see... a little about me... well, I first got introduced to Ys through its music. Specifically, "Termination." Yeah, that one song pretty much sold me on the music.
I can't remember when it was that I heard it the first time, but... I swear to God, it was provided in an IGN review of Ys I and II. I say that because I'll be darned if I can actually find that review with the music in it. And, since I -am- a schmuck (and was a young schmuck at that), I never permanently downloaded it. Thus, I have no proof other than memory.
In fact, I actually forgot about the games for quite a while. No music meant that I didn't have anything to remind me about them. So, I actually have Justus to thank for re-introducing me to the music, via his "Ernst" MIDI. (Splendid job on that one by the way, bud! You single-handedly made me buy Ys VI when it came here to the states because of that song.) So yeah, I've recently become a fanatic about the Ys music. ^_^; Fanatical as in I've collected around a hundred unofficial remixes/rearrangements/covers of the songs. '>> Who'd a thought there'd be so many?
Anyway... yeah, that's basically me and Ys in a nutshell. As for the rest of me, I'm a second semester freshman in college. I actually go to college in the same city that Deuce apparently lives in, so if anyone wants me to stalk him...
Joking, of course, but it's kinda nifty that I actually live near someone else on the board. I like game music, science, and discussions on food and cooking. Feed me curry and I will worship you like a god.
