Hi everyone ^^. I'm kinda new to the wolrd of Ys. The fisrt version I played was Ys for NES, and I really loved the music (among other things). I'm not a huge fan yet, but that's because there are so many versions of the games that I don't know where to start. Right now I'm playing Ys I Eternal for PC and I really liked the upgrade of the graphics (but i didn't like that it was not as though as the NES version). So my question is, what version do I need to play first? The Ys Eternal PC version? The PCE version? Sorry for my lack of English by the way

Hello and welcome!
It doesn't matter which version you play. They are all the same (basically). Ys Eternal/COMPLETE and the NES versions are the most different ones.... And the X68000 version. The other ones are basically identical.

Welcome welcome, Dizzy. ^_^ No worries about being new to the series. I'm much the same, since my experience with the Ys series is confined to Ys 6 and the music of the series. But hey, always good to have another fan! Hope you enjoy your stay.

Thanks for the welcome ^^. I guess when i finish the Ys Eternal version, i'll try the PCE version. There is a x68000 version? Damn, is there a translation to it?

Thanks for the welcome ^^. I guess when i finish the Ys Eternal version, i'll try the PCE version. There is a x68000 version? darn, is there a translation to it? There isn't one X68000 version.... There are two! One old "original" version, released for the older X68000 computers, and a later remake released by Dempa in 1991. This one is fairly different from the original. It's an interesting game, and no, there are no translations for these two. As far as I know, there are no X68000 translations whatsoever. Anyway, if you have played the original Ys I, you shouldn't have any trouble with the X68000 version.
