I already beat the game fully in Japanese, but it'll be AWESOME to replay it in English. I can't wait for Nightwolve's patch. I donated to him for his prior patches (those which I've downloaded, anyway), and I'll do it again as soon as the patch starts downloading for me.
If you think he deserves a donation, give him one! It is the best way to show your support. He and Deuce are doing the work of a professional company for free. I included a donation in my Christmas gift budget, so I gave him a donation through Paypal yesterday.
IV and V on the SNES are being translated?? Or IV retranslated??
Ys IV: Mask of the Sun (SNES) is being retranslated.
Ys V: Kefin, The Lost City of Sand (SNES) is being translated once IV is done.
Hopefully, both will be done by January's end, but I can make no promises.
OMFG brilliant. I thought the YsV project was LOOOONG dead. Is Nightwolve also involved with both, you alone, or have you teamed up with others? I thought you were burned out of Ys translating... NW as well.
(Not that I'm complaining at this news!!)
Looks like I'll have to ready up some more donations soon!
The patch was given out to those who donated to the Plight of the Fan Translator project forums. I didn't know it was out until I checked my email today after visiting the forums. It's an email I don't use often, so I probably had the patch just sitting there waiting to be applied to the game... 0_0
This is my first time through YsF, since I wanted to wait for it in English so I'm really looking forward to playing it every chance I get now. : ) It's a hell of a game!
And Deuce, it is great to hear that you and Nightwolve will be working on Origin going forward. I don't know where the Ys community would be without you two.
