I'm really surprised there's no thread about this awesome game ! This is IMO, the best Falcom RPG Who played and finished it ?

It seems awesome, but I haven't had the opportunity to play it yet. It's a bit too expensive right now, especially since I wouldn't be able to understand anything. But I will buy this game eventually.

At least there's a walkthrough I made (see gamefaqs)

Seems fun by just looking at your walkthrough. Is the game short? What's the best thing about this game? How do you fight? FF-style of YsVI-style? Or something completely different?

I have played 1,2,3,4 of this series! I still remember the story of 3 and I like it very much. In 4 there are tons of side quest, time consuming..... I spend hours & hours earning gold to buy weapons in 1 & 2 ! But I have never tried 5, 6. Perhaps I will try 6 later on..... The screenshot of the *world map*? looks interesting. There seems to be many places on it! Is that the reason why it takes 40+ hours to complete the game! I think 40+hours is about the same amount of time I need to complete Brandish

Now I have a better view of the over-world! All the names of the places are translated to English on this map!! That's really nice! Thanks very much!

Of course, you realize you must now justify it. So, how is this game better than all the Ys games? Is the music better? Is the gameplay better? Is the storyline better?

It's my opinion. Nicest graphics, awesome musics (as always with Falcom) long story (as long as all Ys reunited ? ), fun battles. Great RPG, EVEN WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING THE STORY !!! gillianseed.free.fr/video/ed6-chp2.zip

Gillian, or anybody... I've been looking into buying ED6 and Gensosangokushi, but I seem to recall that Falcom had sold out of ED6, if not both. However, it looks like they're offering them again, but I can't tell (don't know Japanese) if they're offering all the same bonus items that they offered with the initial run. Can someone take a look at the order pages of both games and let me know if I'm missing something? www.falcom.co.jp/ed6/index_order.htmlwww.falcom.co.jp/fs/order/index.htmlThanks.

It seems you get everything with ED6 except the "Unused Music (of Ed6)" album (it wasn't in the game box) and you won't get the three plastic sleeves with Gensosangokushi (they weren't in the game box too). You still get the two albums and the 3 mousepads.

From what I can tell, the new ED6 package contains 2 music CDs - is this right? And if so what's the difference between the 2 CDs? As for the "Unused Music CD", is this the same one that Falcom is selling separately?: www.falcom.co.jp/mailorder/musiccd/index.htmlOne last thing - I was thinking of buying the Korean version of Gensosangokushi, but is the music good enough to pay for the soundtrack included in the Falcom version? Thanks.

Alright. While this subject is here, I have a few things I would like answered.
1. I want to know the story behind the development of Orbment. It's purpose, it's development, it's availability. 2. I'm curious about the war that is going on. Care to give some info about it? 3. Bracer Guild. Is it similiar to Phantasy Star's hunters? ...Anyone able to join it? Or special people?
I'm just curious about the story beind the game. Mind you, I own the game, but I don't know any Japanese. Yes, I'm one of those people, but I have made progress in game-play.

Amusing... first the start requested for us to start talking about it, now when there's a response, it dies. Meh.
Blabla76, did you check with the settings of the game? Probably playing around with the settings (like setting it to window or something) may help. I'm not sure.
But.. that's all that I can think of, since you did the other stuff that I was going to suggest.

Actually, I have precisely the same problem myself. But it's related to the video files. Both video files can be turned off from the config (download nightwolve's utility to see the config in English).
