Legend of Heroes PSP/IV

It took me a month and a half, but I just finished Legend of Heroes PSP/IV. I started playing it before White Witch beacuse I didn't realize it wasn't released in the right order in the States.

I have to say, I loved this game! The way all the gaming websites just slammed the game, I wasn't sure I would enjoy it. Yeah, the translation and text were pretty bad, but the rest was great. The battle system was fairly straight forward, and easy (until the final boss) but it didn't bother me, since I loved the characters in the game. I've always liked console RPGs because they tend to be character driven, but this game more so than others! The characters were interesting, the game has a good sense of humor, and I actually enjoyed talking to the towns people.

I am really excited to play White Witch now, since Wyrdwad has been running everywhere he can online and telling everyone how great it is. I am really excited for Cage Song of the Ocean was well.

Did anyone else really enjoy LoH IV on PSP, or is it just me having my first LoH experience?

I'm debating whether to dive right in or play Valkyrie Profile first. Or I could just not start any new game and focus on getting school work done.... nah

VP1 is a very interesting but heavily flawed game. VP2 tosses a lot of that aside and really kinda remakes the whole game, and is much better for it. It's still messy and confusing, like most Tri Ace games, but a lot of fun.

Neither VP1 nor VP2 interest me, but I feel like I need to play them because Tri-Ace has made some of the best games I have ever played (Radiata Stories and Star Ocean 3). Some of their other games (SO1-2, SO Blue Sphere) are also very impressive.

It was my first PSP game and I really enjoed it and completed the whole game in about 2-3 weeks. I imported White wich from USA only days since it had been released and enjoeyd that one too and is waiting for a new Legend of heroes game to play.
