Has anyone cosplayed before? The best cosplay I've done so far is Resident Evil CV's Claire Redfield. I was so excited when many people knew who I was. Right now I'm working on these: Rinoa Heartily AC Tifa Lockhart Jounouchi Katsuya/Joey Wheeler BaM's Frida

Someday in the future I wanna cosplay my RP characters. And I really want to cosplay GS's Athrun Zala and FE's Soren.

I've been doing it but man, I suck at making my own stuff(I had stuff commissioned when I was working vicious 70-80 hours a week) but a wood worker, painter and jewelry maker...
Hopefully I can arrange some kind of labor trade. I'm good with fabric paint, I'm thinking of getting a cheap kimono, going crazy with dimensionless fabric paint and doing Yumei from Valkyrie Profile.
I have a thing for obscure characters too!
Got a Cosplay.com ID? They're really generous about providing free gallery space for people.

You could get that controversial squirt gun thing (what was it called if anyone knew?)

Small wonder it's controversial with a statement like that... Never had occasion to cosplay, though I would like to one of these days, just so I can say I have. Sadly, I'm not handy with a sewing machine, so that limits me a bit. ;_; I've got PLENTY of wish-list cosplays I'd love to do... but the only one I ever seriously bandied about with my friends was me dressing up as Hanajima from Fruits Basket. ^_^; (Yay for the creepy vibes girl.) Failing that, probably Sara (yay, Ys!)... because I like her robes and I'm usually wearing red hair anyway.. ^_^; (from the bottle....)

Oh, it's not just the tagline that's controversial... look up Oozinator on YouTube sometime, and watch the original TV commercial for it. Someone with a sick, sick mind made that commercial. -Tom ...Silly me, I actually did what you told me there and looked. ......................................................... Ahem. Moving on.

I used to be very heavily into Cos-Play a few years back, but after awhile I kind of just stopped going to cons altogether. Though right now I've a few friends who constantly attend anime cons and cos-play as two, sometime three different characters each time. I'm hoping to get back into is one of these days.
The first cosplay I ever did was of Parn, from Record of Lodoss War. Then, Cloud Strife around the time FF7 was released, Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin for a few years and finally Lynx/Yamaneko from Chrono Cross.

No worries. There's no anime conventions in Finland as far as I know. Beside, I would probably only cosplay for taking-pictures-and-post-them-to-the-net purpose. Thanks for your concern, though. Well, there are in Sweden. Just so you know. Although this year's convention was about a week ago. uppcon.com/

If I'd cosplay, I'd cosplay the Generic Ninja No. #3 from random anime. Or, I'd might end up as Char Aznable/Rau le Cruz/Other Villian.

I've cosplayed before. and still do. I did Yangus From dragon quest 8 just 6 months ago, and I'll be doing a black mage in November. I can post a pic if you want to see the outfit for Yangus and if anyone wants to see the mage, I'll post that too..
I also have an army of characters lined up for my body build to work on. ^_^
as for the blaster, i would get hold of a prop gun, and modify it as needed. Its much harder to design from scratch unless you have an extensive knowledge of molding and the proper materials, and will be much cheaper that way.
As for street legal, here in the usa at my conventions you can carry it so long as the clip is removed if it can lock, if the prop itself actually is a non functional solid piece and as long as the tip is painted bright orange.
aaah crap. just noticed that issue was 5 years ago....whoops!
