Guh. I'm currently trying to translate/get an understanding of the stereotypical boss-spills-all-about-plans-cuz-he's-too-confident bit at the end (Yunica's version though I believe Hugo's wasn't that different) and I'm stuck with how to translate 魔の根源.
I'm currently leaving it as an ever-so-cheesy Foundation of Evil but I'm wondering if it should relate more to the game's title since 根源 seems to also mean "origin".
I'm actually also missing a chunk of what the 魔の根源 is about cuz I believe Feena was the one that explained back at the Tower of Rado not Dalles.
And am I wrong to assume that he wanted the evil power for himself? :/

Had the same problem when I was translating it for friends while playing... I used Root of Magic/Evil originally... then started toying around with Essence of Magic/Evil, I dunno. It could go anywhere, frankly, would be up to people to decide... mayhaps by popular vote ;p
I don't think Feena really explained it so much as explained its relation to the spawning of beasts (it + cleria = beasts). Reah remarked that it's indestructible by man and scratchable by goddesses because it was a "treasure of the gods" or something.
Duless did not want the Essence so much as he wanted to combine it with the Black Pearl. Feena/Reah are afraid of that happening, because it would unlock the full strength of the Essence, resulting in exploding evil magicks all over. They, on the other hand, intended (and do) to seal the Essence inside the Black Pearl.
In Thor route (since you seem to not care about spoilers) it turns out Kain manipulated Duless to combine the Essence and the Pearl, in order to cause said magical explosion to make Darm. They did not explain that much in Yunika/Hugo route, so you were left to your imagination of why they did that (and how they knew, for that matter). At least, if my memory serves correct, anyways.

Reah: "その男は《魔の根源》を自らの中に取り込んでいます..."
This might be a little out of context but isn't that saying that the essense is within Dalles? ._.~
What the? The preview shows an extra space and then a semi-colon after naka. >_> The phrase is otherwise complete though.

Wait, something I want to know, is whether the game ever says where the outsideres are from?

取り込んでる tends to mean "placed it inside," which I kinda roughly called "infusing himself" with it. After all, only Duless actually has the real one in it, Hugo/Thor/Kishgal/Zava all just have "Seeds" of it.
