Oh!
Of course I would. I love to put up pictures of my cosplays when I have them that is.
Also I love the picture, that made my night.
And sorry for the odd question but it seemed odd for another gamer to say that, that's all.
Thanks again though! *hugs*

Don't worry. It will work out one day. /-)
Also I think someone has to come to the con with me as Adol. I really want to see one of those some day.

How peculiar. I've never intentionally hit on a cosplayer before. I'm just one of those guys.

I'm the type of guy who just doesn't know when he's hitting on a girl, then finds out he is.

Sorry about that!
You know that kind of thing?

But all the over-dramatic scripts and voice-acting are part of what makes those things fun and interesting to watch, play or read. Yes, part of the time it can be very annoying but a lot of times it makes the story better then if the characters talked like normal people.
Well that's how I see it anyway.

My aunt has been watching soap operas for 25years everyday, I don't find it hard to believe other people don't mind/like that kind of repetition(anime).

I find myself wanting to go to fewer and fewer anime cons, mainly due to people.
They can be outright freaky(yeah, I'm sure you can easily argue that I'm one of them) in the bad way.
Well Captain, better stay close and watch over her. The girlier the costume, the more people that'll shamlessly hit on her. Or at least ask for a picture. I walked around con with a friend of mine who had a costume that showed her midriff and all I did was carry her belongings around so she could easily get pics taken(hey, I had one on too, just not revealing.)

There was a single mention of it. Many years ago. That's it.

Based on the last 2 posts my questions are: who were the people commonly taking the pictures? and is it primarly one sided where primarly more women/girls dress up vs men/boys? There's a couple of photographers I know at Cosplay.com that try and get a photo or 2 of every single cosplayer at the con they attend. Otherwise, I've had my picture taken by young fans(female and male) as well as random tourists(when Anime Expo was right by Disney Land.) I'd definitely say more females are into the hobby than men so dress up and help out the balance guys!

Hi! I'm back with great news, I now have the cloth for my costume! I feel so happy I think you all should see an Ys cosplayer. WARNING! This is not me! img296.imageshack.us/my.php?image=cosplayerofreahfromysae2.jpgAlso not many people take pictures of me at cons considering that I often wear rather short skirts. (above the knee.)

Don't' worry I have finished costumes that look much worse then that. *shudders* Here's a picture to make you feel better. I'm the third one down, the really bad BB Hood. *shudders* From Sugoicon 2004. www.fansview.com/2004/sugoicon/sg20a0007.htmlAlso you are a very good cosplayer. I really liked most of the ones you did, plus you did a Rival Schools cosplay so you win.

Holy cow, you're going to make a kick bum Lillia. Are you gonna hit up any cons out west?

Sadly no. Sugoicon is the only one. The Captain and I are rather poor you see. If not for that (and the fact I can't drive) I would go to other cons. By the way I won "Best Individual Advanced" at Sugoicon for that Cornet costume. It was my first ever contest too! Sadly I forgot to take my ring of so I was a little more inaccurate then before. (Hair length and stuff like that.)

Personally, I find inaccuracies to sometimes be for the better. I know there's a love to be as pure and close to the original outfit as possible, but adding your own personal touch is just as important. Some liberties just need to be taken.

Depends on the type of inaccuracy. I made a friend of mine who's a total accuracy freak some Howl earrings that were blatantly inaccurate. Hell, she wanted them that way. Howl's earrings are a green tear drop with a small, flaming red sphere bead above it. I made a pair with a genuine coral faceted bead and I guess that caught her eye more and she preferred it over the 7mm red round I spent hours looking for. There's some stuff that looks nice on paper but rather dull if you try to copy it to the pixel. That and some stuff is impossible to find a good reference for...Like those dang emelas swords. >_>

That was the only picture I could find & it also happened to be the best one as well. I might take a picture of it to show how not to make a hood, apron & skirt. If I ever do I put then up here some where for all to see. It was the worst costume I had ever made I hate to even look at the thing to tell the truth.
