Falcom's main website, my friend.
I believe if you use fairly simple english, they'll take your order. Other folks'll give you better details, though.

As the Captain says. Ordering direct from Falcom is the way to go. Directions on how to submit your order to them are here, in the Falcom Special Offer Thread.

That's about the long and short of it. The PS2 game was ported by a different, I think. Dun recall who did it. Konami? Taito? So Falcom doesn't deal in it directly.
So yeah, they only have the comp games.
I think.

Well!
The Windows games have the advantage of having fan translation patches of exceeding quality. That's the dealmaker for me. Ys Origins, presently, only exists in PC form, so your choice is that or none at all.
As for the PS2 game, quality-wise, you'll have to wait for someone else. But I don't imagine it'd be notably higher than what you'd find in the windows version, save maybe for extras. I may be wrong.

Digicube, became into finacial problems short after the release of the game in Japan, were planning a US an EU release. At that point SquareEnix bought digicube, so basicly they should know Ys and might even have the PS2 licence for it, if it was handed down, depending on the contract. Why does the world hate us

Wow, how did you know that? o.o So why wasn't it released? XDD I know why! Square Enix sucks. Now seriously, all of their games defenitely don't match their old Squaresoft games, in my oppinion. I really think SquareEnix is a bad game company.

well, there are two things possible: 1: the licence was only given to digicube and when SquareEnix bought the company the licence became invalid. 2: The licence didn't become invalid and squareenix still has it, and they prefer to launch Final Fantasy MMMMMXXXXXXXXXXCCCCCCCCCCVII, instead of a good game oh and the reason why it wasn't released in US &EU was probebly the Sony Computer Entertainment America's dislike of sprite based games on the PS2. that's why konami had to fuck up Ark of Napishtim. Digicube thought it had a good cheap title to launch world wide, it was a direct port of the Ys I&II Complete version. but when SCA decided not to allow Ys onto the US market, it was too expencive and digicube went bankrupt.

I thought Digicube always belonged to Square? since its creation? EDIT: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DigiCubeyeah, like I thought... it was created as a subsidiary of Square and then Square-Enix after the merger. It got bankrupt in 2003. And I doubt they still had any license to Ys games after that... otherwise how did all of those other PS2 Ys games after Eternal get released? I don't know why the name DigiCube rang a bell for me... I think I remember an old friend telling me a long while back something about DigiCube being Square's own gaming school... like how Nintendo has Digipen in Washington. he was a big square fan and had a tendency to make crazy things up and tell me about it...

MYTH BUSTED!
Kinda sad Square-Enix has gotten too bloated to take risks anymore; Eternal would have been a lovely thing to get over here.

You should be damn happy Ys Eternal Story didn't leave Japan. It's a terrible port! I thought you guys would know that by now?
Actually releasing Ys V PS2 here would be better than Ys Eternal Story and even I can't believe I just said that.
PS, Adol: Final Fantasy happens to be great. You should try it someday.

And I doubt they still had any license to Ys games after that... otherwise how did all of those other PS2 Ys games after Eternal get released? by having a licence for 1 game, doesn't mean that they had ALL Ys licences? Ys Eternal Story got released in spring 2003, and they bankrupted in november 2003 that is true, but even though it was created as a subsidairy company for squaresoft, but it had it's own financial plan. and I still believe that the whole Ys to US en EU shores thing has played a mayor role in the process of bankruptcy. and Ys Eternal Story is a good game, it's no different from Ys Eternal on the PC. ok it had some mayor load times for a game in 2003, try playing a game on the PS3, you can go and take a sh*t before the loading is completed. and it requires quite some space on your memory card. It's still much better than most PS2 games.

You have to recall that Seldane hates progress, unless he doesn't.
