Yes, it's a silly question but it just popped into my mind: Has anyone play any Ys games with a Dance Dance Revolution dance pad before?
I'd imagine you'd get a total workout!

Nope, closest I've gone to that was playing street fighter 2 with guitar controller.

I've played SC2 with the DK Bongo controller for Gamecube claping to attack is fun. I got through 4 matches in arcade mode just waiting for my opponent to run up and get clapped to death.

Now that'd be one hell of a workout. And that minipad is just too cute! XD However, I think I'll just continue to induce carpal tunnel and use the keyboard to play the games.

I want to do this now. =[
I have a friend who is/was a DDR freak, and was once able to do a gunflame in GGXX with a dancepad.

Haven't experimented much with a dance pad personally. However, I watched a friend play through the whole of Mega Man 2 using one earlier this year. Don't ask me how...

I think it be an even better experience if the controls were mapped to a Wii Balance Board. : )

Hehe, that's actually very true. Most DDR players, myself included, are terrible dancers. : ) I used to play a lot of DDR as well as Beatmania and Pop'n Music. I once started a Stepmania song project for a mix of Darm's Tower with Rado's Annex, but it didn't get off the ground too well. I had managed to make a mix of it without too much trouble and I created a stepmania background for the song which looked like this: I just couldn't find a way to match up the steps with the beats of the song all that well so the project was abandoned. : ( -Thomas

Bah! DDR isn't about dancing! It's all about stepping on arrows in time with the arrows on the screen!
Man, now that I have a Beatmania controller, I feel like trying Ys with it. ^^;;;;
I wonder if I could map the turntable to the attack button?

Try Soul Calibur, or Virtua Tennis with the Dreamcast fishing rod. Sega basically invented the Wii's current controls.

Speaking of Stepmania, I came across something that I think everyone will like.
While looking on Youtube for game footage of Wanderers from Ys for the PS2 (Could only find the vid from Liquidpolicenaut, I wish you'd post more from this version), I turned up some vids on there involving Stepmania and one of the Ys music pieces: "Theme of Adol". There was even a pic of our favorute redhead in the background.
It was surprising, though the sound quality on the vids stunk.
