Thanks a lot to se210 for providing the original link to the trailer. It was a stream-only file but I captured it. You can now download the file here. Enjoy!

Awesome! Thanks, that is one deadly looking giant demon monster there at the end, I wonder what his deal is. I'll be happy if a soundtrack is released for this, especially if the featured music is part of it.

Totally. I absolutely love the music in this trailer, especially the last song.
Unfortunately, I think (although I'm definitely not an expert) that MMORPG soundtrack releases are rare. Maybe.

Very cool. Never seen any of those (granted, I haven't looked).

I have the Ragnarok Online OST, which I really liked, but it has been a while since I've listened to it.

Hmm, I haven't played that game, but the music must be nice - "Sound TeMp" made it, and they're responsible for the (amazing) Ys II Special soundtrack.

Wonderful soundtrack in the trailer especially because of the fact that it is a remix of an actual Ys theme. Still, from the gameplay footage that was shown, it looks like it's gonna be a point and click game (WTF) ? I'd be disappointed if the battles play more like FFXI/WOW rather than PSU/PSO. Still, if the game comes out in English (and the fact that it's an Ys game) might as well give it a shot. Oh BTW the artwork irritated me - looks too typical or whatever (don't take me seriously)

Not a point and click game, just your standard MMORPG. That's how you "walk" - you click where you want to go and your little guy will walk there. Terrible system and mind numbingly boring.

They have those kinds of battles in World of Warcraft too I believe. And Knight Online or whatever the name was (I have a friend who's obsessed with these games, so I know a thing or two about them).

looked awesome until the actual gameplay footage W T F ? Exactly. If it did ever get an english release, I still doubt I'd play it. For one thing, most MMORPG's cost monthly money, & that right there pisses me off.

Well... the music sounds better than I had expected... the graphics looks way better than I had expected... the gameplay, however, looks exactly like any other MMORPG I've seen...
I think MMORPG's should have gone beyond what they are today... endless quests for items and experience... WoW in itself isn't anything 'new', just something old in a new estetical shape... and I hate it. Unless there comes along a reinvention of the MMORPG's I won't begin to play them... ever... and no matter how 'nice' this new Ys Online might look, I won't play it... unless it DRASTICALLY differs from all the other MMORPG's out there... just some great Ys music and Ys graphics won't make me change my mind, sorry.

Anyone else disgusted by all the female screaming in the battle in this trailer? It makes even thinking about getting this game painful. (But thanks anyway for capturing the trailer, Seldane. I couldn't get it to stream -- I just had the audio and a frame about every 10 seconds. Can't imagine why.)

Haha, I was going to say exactly that. Yeah, the female screams were really disgusting. Ugh.

They just need to ditch the cloning factory... I mean seriously nearly every MMORPG since EQ1 has pretty much used that premise... Level grinding and a dull combat system that tries to paint a line between turn based and real time and succeeds only in be boring with the standard "point, click, watch, wait, spam macro keys" I like turn based rpgs where I control multiple characters, and I like action rpgs... But combat in most MMO's is very dull...
And they ALL rise of the same premise, level grind and progress... The advancements have pretty much been, more interesting quests, more friendly to the masses...
For an MMORPG's they really need some original and fun combat system...
Furthermore I loved the skill based system of UO as opposed to the linear level grinding system of all other MMORPGs... UO was the first and to this day is still unique... Meanwhile we have like 50 clones of the Everquest idea with their own spin on it to try and convince people that their game is unique.
Ys is an action rpg... If Ys Online is not going to be an action mmorpg and use the same generic crab combat system as every other MMO then I doubt that it will persuade my interest...
Vanguard is trying something new with its combat system, hopefully its good.
And btw, the music in the Ys Onlone trailer is just a remix of an Ys Eternal track.

WTF, this isn't vapor-ware after all?
Looked and sounded awesome until the actual combat gameplay started. Then it all degenerated into a generic, choppy mess.

Although the music was great, I (like most of you, as it seems) was disappointed when the actual gameplay was shown. It seems NO different at all from any of the zillions of other MMOs, and that truthfully isn't enough for me to play it. I do enjoy MMOs (WoW owns my life from time to time), but if Ys Online offers nothing new besides a Ys title, than I'll be skipping it.
